Another crazy week in paradise!  Kinda.  Sorta.

This post has been shared on The Sunday Post, a weekly recap from so many amazing blogs is hosted by Kimberly over at Caffeinated Reviewer.  This word link and the graphic will take you to The Sunday Post meme for this week – enjoy.  🙂

Life got crazy around here in February, and ever since – and I’m sure for most of the rest of the world as well.  As a lone wolf myself, (which comes naturally to me) I’m used to enjoying just my own or my family’s company.  Not going out when the mood to socialize hits me is… odd.  But by self-isolating, I feel we’re doing the right thing.  So far we are doing fine physically – just going a bit bonkers from only enjoying the walk down the driveway to the mailbox or endless (it seems) walks around the backyard with my pup, Harley.  I know others have not been as lucky and my heart breaks for them.  I’ve gone through odd days, some mourning doing nothing more than playing video games, others a massive cleaning spree, but always books are my escape.  So I’ve read a lot… a lot.  Not doing so well with keeping up with reviews but working on that.  There is no “normal” at the moment, only getting through the day and thankful for our health knowing that could change at any moment.  Maybe this is the new normal, for now, at least.

Anyway — this week on the blog (May 1-10):

Yeah, I know.  It’s a lot for one week – but, as I mentioned earlier, I’ve gotten way behind on getting reviews up even though I’ve been reading up a storm lately.  This coming week will be overloaded as well – but then I should be back on track with scheduled posts and quick “I just read this great book” posts.

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well.  I’m sending out a virtual ((Hug)) to everyone who needs one right about now.

Halloween is the biggest holiday of the year in Salem, Massachusetts–but when B&B owner Charlene Morris finds the dead body of a witch, it spells trouble…

Charlene, recently widowed, has renovated her historic mansion just in time to greet guests arriving for the town’s annual Halloween festivities. She’s lucky to have a helpful staff to provide support–as well as a handsome ghost named Jack standing invisibly by her side.

Unfortunately, while the revelers head out on haunted tours, have their fortunes told, or grab a drink at Brews and Broomsticks, a killer walks among them. When Charlene discovers Morganna, a local Wiccan, dead in her shop, she starts getting cozy with the local coven, looking for clues to locate the crafty culprit. Salem may be famous for the false accusations of witchery in centuries past, but this time someone is genuinely guilty–of murder…
