When the person you’ve longed for your whole life suddenly sleeps by your side, how much are you willing to fight to keep that?

Jenny has a bad marriage and a long stretch of mostly nothing behind her. She’s rebuilt her life and likes what she has, but she’s lonely. Then she’s thrown into the arms of the only man she ever really wanted, and Jenny decides that this time, there’s nothing she won’t do to keep him.

Paddy has a grown daughter and a long string of ladies behind him. He has forced himself to accept that the one thing he ever really wanted wasn’t ever going to be his. Then the president of a local MC declares his interest in Jenny, and Paddy loses his ever-loving mind. Seeing her start something serious with another man one more time is not going to happen so this time, he’ll fight for what he wants.

James Trelissick, Marquis of Lasterton, will do anything to free his mother and sister from a notorious pirate. Their disappearance threatens his sister’s reputation and future. Desperate after months of fruitless searching, he disguises himself as a servant for the pirate’s daughter and kidnaps her, intending to exchange the hoyden for his beloved family.

Daniella Germaine’s only wish is to be back on the deck of her father’s pirate ship, the wind in her hair, and adventure on the horizon. But her father foisted her off on her brother to join London’s marriage market and find a husband. To prove herself unmarriageable, Daniella hurls herself into scandal after scandal only to be ‘rescued’ by her handsome but disapproving coachman who takes his protection duties far too seriously for her agenda.

Fairy garden store owner Courtney Kelly believes in inviting magic into your life. But when uninvited trouble enters her shop, she’ll need more than a sprinkling of her imagination to solve a murder . . .

Since childhood, Courtney has loved fairies. After her mother died when Courtney was ten, she lost touch with that feeling of magic. A year ago, at age twenty-nine, she rediscovered it when she left her father’s landscaping business to spread her wings and start a fairy garden business and teashop in beautiful Carmel, California. At Open Your Imagination, she teaches garden design and sells everything from fairy figurines to tinkling wind chimes. Now she’s starting a book club tea.

But the light of the magical world she’s created inside her shop is darkened one night when she discovers neighboring dog-grooming business owner Mick Watkins dead beside her patio fountain. To make matters worse, the police suspect Courtney of the crime. To clear her name and find the real killer, Courtney will have to wing it. Even though he’s sworn off love, he can’t seem to stay away from Bryn Callahan. He’s known for being a horse whisperer, but can’t seem to find his voice at all where Bryn is concerned.

Bryn Callahan has a heart for strays, but she is through trying to save damaged men. She vows to only date nice guys, which is a category that does not include Zane Taylor. Too bad he’s the only one who sets her pulse racing every time she’s around him.

Starting a horse rescue ranch wasn’t in Bryn’s plan, but try telling that to the assembly of abandoned animals that have found their way to her doorstep. And when a chance encounter with a horse headed for slaughter brings Zane and Bryn together, they find themselves given a chance to save not just the horse, but maybe each other.

An actor who’s lost his soul

There is nothing studios won’t give for my name in their movie, whether it’s money, women, or fame. But fame bores me. Money? I have more than enough. And women? Not interested in the Hollywood types. The one thing I crave they can’t give me. The redemption of my soul. For you see, I committed the ultimate sin, one I can’t take back. I can’t find absolution. No matter how hard I try. Until I land in a small beach town for a summer production and meet a waitress with a heart of gold.

A down-on-her-luck waitress

The last thing I want is another man in my life. The last one stole every penny from me. The money I’d been saving to go back to school. If I work double shifts at the diner, I just might earn enough. But only if I keep my eye on the ball. Only if I’m not sidelined by distractions.

A summer they won’t forget

But when a stranger stumbles into my diner one stormy night looking for a meal and a place to stay, I offer the unthinkable–shelter in my home. When he’s gone in the morning, I think that’s the end. But I’m wrong. Dead wrong. Because the stranger returns, and this time he wants much more than my couch. He wants me in his bed.

At this time, If Tomorrow Ever Comes is a standalone title.

It was supposed to be a straightforward business agreement…

Businessman and COO Dominic Balaska almost has it all, except $20 million to get in on a lucrative real estate deal. His trust fund document requires him to be married by his 31st birthday. In six months. With no romantic prospects in sight, he looks toward Tabitha Seils. She’s made it clear she doesn’t like him, which is exactly the no-strings deal he’s looking for.

Custom pastry chef Tabitha Seils wants nothing more in life than a baby. So when a new mother considers Tabitha to adopt her infant, Tabitha nearly bursts with happiness. She makes the first of three payments but needs to find a way to pay the rest. Marrying Dominic is a win-win: they can access his trust, divvy up the money, and get an annulment.

Neither expected their marriage of convenience would bring about real feelings. Nor the twist in store for their arrangement that could cost them everything.

He’s the last person she ever wants to see again…

Zac Hartford swore he’d never return to sleepy Kurrajong Crossing, but after finally making it big in the music business there’s only one thing left on his mind—to ask for forgiveness from the only woman he’s ever loved. If that means stepping foot in the town that turned its back on him, so be it. He’s not there to cause trouble. He’ll simply find Cat, say his piece, and leave.

The last person Catherine Van Alden expects to see in her tiny cupcake shop is Zac — a man she hasn’t seen or spoken to since he destroyed her family and vanished all those years ago. Her desire to think the best of him hasn’t changed a bit, but he’s obviously keeping secrets and she can’t let him into her life again. Not without opening up a world of hurt and feelings best left behind.

When the truth is finally revealed, is Cat strong enough to go after the man she never stopped loving?

My Crazy Life This Week

I don’t know that this week is much different than any other since February 2020 – my family is still safe within our bubble, politics are still infuriating and dangerous, and people are still cruel to others just because they are different (and there are so many ways to be different aren’t there?).  I’ve been doing some research this week on ways to de-stress although I’ve never been a yoga or meditation person – but soothing hobbies, that I can handle.  We’ll see how that works out once I find something that draws me in.  In all – we’re surviving, and I’ll take that and run with it.  🙂

New Books This Week for Review

Christmas ARCs are upon us and I’ve started my Christmas reading list, plus a couple that sounds very interesting:

You Betrayed Me by Lisa Jackson – If The Boot Fits by Rebekah Weatherspoon – The Cowboy Who Saved Christmas (anthology) by Jodi Thomas & Sharla Lovelace & Scarlett Dunn  (Covers linked to Goodreads)

And that was it for this week.  My wallet was very grateful that I didn’t go on a buying spree – for once.  🙂

Hope you found some great titles this week – enjoy the reading adventures that await you.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally, they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, once hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.  Find out more here.

I’m trying to get back into weekly bookish things, and ‘Can’t-Wait Wednesday‘ was one that I enjoyed sharing last year.  This year is more than a little crazy but I’m trying to find a new normal – and that is talking about books in any way that I can.  So, here we go again.  🙂

I read across so many genres that picking out one for this week is a bit of a challenge.  But I believe that I’m most looking forward to the release of a “debut author” who is actually using another pen name as she moves into another genre.  I’ll put the link to her new name website at the bottom.  It’s no true secret for she’s mentioned it on Twitter and her other author name is on her new site.

Pretty Little Wife” by Darby Kane becomes available on February 16, 2021

Debut author Darby Kane thrills with this twisty domestic suspense novel that asks one central question: shouldn’t a dead husband stay dead?

Lila Ridgefield lives in an idyllic college town, but not everything is what it seems. Lila isn’t what she seems.

A student vanished months ago. Now, Lila’s husband, Aaron, is also missing.

At first, these cases are treated as horrible coincidences until it’s discovered the student is really the third of three unexplained disappearances over the last few years. The police are desperate to find the connection if there even is one. Little do they know they might be stumbling over only part of the truth…

With the small town in an uproar, everyone is worried about the whereabouts of their beloved high school teacher. Everyone except Lila, his wife. She’s definitely confused about her missing husband but only because she was the last person to see his body, and now it’s gone.

Can the power of her love heal his wounded heart?

Jade Mitchell’s life changes forever when a concussion activates “the gift”—a psychic ability passed down from her grandmother. As a massage therapist with a thriving practice, Jade needs to protect her professional reputation in her small Texas town. She’s wary of her new talent, but also wants to use it to help her friends and neighbors.

Cash Burleson, a no-nonsense former bull rider, now runs his family’s successful cattle ranch. With no children of his own, Cash treasures his young nephew, AJ, who is battling serious kidney disease. But when Jade’s massage services are prescribed, Cash is leery. He’s used to being guided by facts and logic, not lavender and meditation music.

As Jade and Cash are drawn closer, the search heats up for a kidney donor. Jade knows she needs to use her gift to save AJ, but she risks outing her secret in the process. Will she lose Cash’s trust, or can she count on him to see what’s truly in her heart?
