Cover Description:

Elise deVries is not what she seems. By night, the actress captivates London theatergoers with her chameleon-like ability to slip inside her characters. By day, she uses her mastery of disguise to work undercover for Chegarre & Associates, an elite agency known for its discreet handling of indelicate scandals. But when Elise is tasked with locating the missing Duke of Ashland, she finds herself center stage in a real-life drama.

Noah Ellery left the glamour of the London aristocracy to pursue a simpler life in the country. He’s managed to avoid any complications or entanglements—that is, until he lays eyes on Elise and realizes there’s more to this beautiful woman than meets the eye. But when Elise reveals her real identity—and her true feelings for him—the runaway duke must confront the past he left behind . . . to keep the woman he loves forever.

People generally see what they expect to see.  A perfect example is the movie Pretty Woman – a dressed in highest fashion, walking with head held high Vivian is seen as an affluent woman.  People saw what they expected to see in that location, in that woman.  If one has the ability to believe in themselves it is truly easy to be a chameleon.

Both of the main characters of A Duke To Remember are well versed in the role of being a chameleon… and hiding in plain sight.

Noah has hidden in plain sight for decades.  His desire for the title and responsibilities of his former life is nonexistent.  Given his history with his family, it’s probably no wonder that he’d rather just be an average man living out his normal life without the trappings of being a Duke.

Elise is an expert at becoming someone else.  When the firm she works with is given the task of finding a lost Duke, a man who most consider dead, Elise is in her element.  She didn’t expect it to be so easy to find this lost man nor did she expect the almost instant attraction to spring up between them.

A Duke TO Remember is one of those stories that you simply fall in love with both the hero and the heroine.  They both are utterly charming and believable.  Perhaps the strongest feeling is that these two people truly see each other for exactly who they are – and that’s okay, in fact, it’s perfect for them.

I would not hesitate to recommend this story to anyone who loves Historical Romance, strong characters and a story that cuts through the excess and gets right tot he heart of two people as they really are.  A touch of mystery, some serious delicious sexy moment and a love that stand true through anything that is tossed at them.  A good, solid, enjoyable story.

*I received an e-ARC of A Duke To Remember from the publisher, Grand Central Publishing – Forever and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.  That does not change what I think of this novel.*
