Roberts, Nora

Nora Roberts

I have to admit that Nora Roberts would qualify as my favorite all time author.  I’ve followed her writing career since she began back in the Silhouette – Harlequin days.

Ms. Roberts is a prolific, award-winning, top bestseller list author who never fails to bring me (the reader) into the story.  It has been rare for one of her books to not pull me completely into her created world.  It is difficult for me to finish a book where I have no interest in the outcome for the characters.  I can honestly say that I’ve not finished one of Nora Roberts novels.  Some I’ve enjoyed more than others.  Some are on the constant re-read shelf.  Some I’ve taken parts of the points of the story or the characters and used them in my own real life.  Her novels do affect me that strongly upon occasion.

There are some book lovers who do not care for Nora Roberts style of writing.  That’s fine.  Not every author is going to be loved by every book buyer or book borrower.

Her official website can be found at  Nora Roberts

In 2002 Nora Roberts ended her association with Harlequin/Silhouette.  The following lists are the series Ms. Roberts wrote for Harlequin or Silhouette before that date.  Although there were many favorite “families” within these series – we won’t be reading any additions to these series.  Personally, I would have liked to revisit some “old friends” in some of them for just one more story, I would have loved to meet their children and see how life treated them and what new adventures awaited them .. but life and fiction move on.

Remember When is a double novel, told by two authors (one writer).  Nora Roberts begins the story in our current timeline – in 2059, J. D. Robb picks up the continuing story in Lt. Eve Dallas’ time.

In recent years Harlequin books have re-released Ms. Roberts earlier novels that she wrote “for” them.  (not only Harlequin – but other mass market publishers as well)

Any brand new releases of Nora Roberts’ novels now have her “shield”  of a circled NR on the cover, like this:

Nora Roberts NR circle

When purchasing new novels (especially when you have only recently started to read Nora Roberts) one way to be certain that you don’t re-purchase a book that may already be on your bookshelf is to look for Nora’s “shield” on the cover.

Nora Robert’s Official Website can be found by clicking   HERE

Ms. Roberts also writes futuristic suspense – detective novels as J. D. Robb

Thank you for this list! It was incredibly helpful since it’s getting harder every day to figure out what books are new and whic ones are re-releases. I don’t mean the paperbacks since they all have the NR stamp on new releases, but the dang e-books. There is no easy way to tell if an e-book is new because frequently the “published” date is the date it was published as an e-book and not as a physical book. The complaints on Amazon are rampant.
Your list helps – it could only be better with the original release dates or a whole lot more work with a small synopsis of each book (which is way too much to ask for!).

      Hi Kelly,

Thank you for your kind words – I’m glad the Nora Roberts list was of help to you. I admit that I originally put it up in order to keep myself from re-purchasing books that I already had in my own “library”. 🙂

Hmmmm… a “small synopsis” would indeed be a huge undertaking and slow down that page (and the blog) in loading time. But the original dates – that might be more realistically do-able. Right now I’m in the recovery stage of knee replacement surgery, so I’m not spending a ton of hours online, sitting in one position. But that is a project i’ll look into for the future.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting = it’s appreciated.

I just found your site and wanted to thank you for spending the time to put it together. I have an outdated list I have been using to “collect” Nora Roberts books for my kindle. This list is so much easier with the series grouped together. Thank you very much.

    • Marcy

Oh, you’re welcome, I”m glad it helped you. I started the lists to keep myself straight *grin* on what I’d read and still had to read. Which reminds m e, I need to update that page now. with the 2018 titles coming out.
