But at the beginning of BEAUTY AND THE BAKER Charlie doesn’t know that he only knows what has happened to him and the searing pain he’s in, and perhaps the voice of an angel who soothes his mind. His eventual journey to Creede may have just saved his life — and brought him to the one woman he’s been searching for without being aware of it.
Georgina is determined to head West to an unknown future with a man she only knows from his letters. Her family would certainly not approve which is why she’s leaving in secret — only she’s going to end up on a side trip of her own to Creede, Colorado thanks to a guardian angel and her aunt’s broken leg. What she’s been searching for is right there in town if she can open her eyes, and stop arguing with everyone for long enough to actually see the man right in front of her.
