While you could read the fifth title in The Mountain Monroes series, Enchanted by the Rodeo Queen, on its own I believe you’ll get more from the story if you’ve followed this series from the beginning.  There are characters who have already had and some who will have their happy endings one day in Emily’s and Jonah’s story – I always believe that, if possible, any series is best read from first to last.

On the surface, Emily and Jonah couldn’t be more opposite if they tried really hard.  She’s a cowgirl to the bone with a ticking clock telling her that she needs to find a special cowboy and settle down with her own ranch and kids of her own… soon.  Jonah is totally city, or maybe a major part of that make-believe city of Hollywood as his scripts have had teens in stitches and young romance for years now.  Jonah is also part of the Monroe family, one who has a vested interest in what eventually happens to Second Chance, Idaho.  He is not looking for his forever partner as he doesn’t believe there is anyone for him… his former fiancee proved that quite well, or maybe he did that to himself.  They shouldn’t fit together so well, but they do in all the right places.  The interesting part is getting these two stubborn souls to admit that to themselves and each other.

Enchanted by the Rodeo Queen is a charming, fun story of family, legends, and allowing yourself to fall in love where the heart leads, not where you “think” you should be going.  I enjoyed this trip back to the Monroe’s and their plans for an inherited town.  One legendary thief gets his real back story told, we run into several known characters who’ve found their happily ever after – and some yet to come.  Both Emily and Jonah have good reasons for the choices they’ve made, the fun part was watching them rethink what they had planned and what fate was dropping into their laps.  If you enjoy a good love story then you’d love this story and series.

I own a Kindle edition of Enchanted by the Rodeo Queen.

Available in paperback or for your favorite e-reader, mine is the Kindle.
