Will Amy’s dreams of a Provençal escape come true?
There are many reasons Amy Carter is determined to make Bellefontaine, her farmhouse hotel in the French countryside, a success. Of course, there’s the time and money she’s put into making it beautiful, but she also has something to prove – particularly to people like Fabien Coste.
Fabien is the owner of the nearby château, and he might just be the most arrogant, patronizing man Amy has ever met … unfortunately, he’s also the most handsome.
But as rumors circulate in the local community and secrets about the old farmhouse begin to reveal themselves, Amy quickly sees the less idyllic side of life at Bellefontaine. Could Fabien be the man to help prevent her Provençal dream from turning into a nightmare?

Escape to the Little Chateau was an intriguing experience. I went into this book expecting one thing and discovered something far different, certainly not in a bad way because I’m one of those “loves to be surprised” readers. Because of that, I do not intend to go into any more details than you’d find in the cover description blurb. I believe you need those “surprises” firsthand for the full enjoyment of this story.
Amy is such a strong, stubborn, and determined woman with a dream that no one is going to get in the way of… certainly not an arrogant, handsome man or rumors swirling around her farmhouse hotel.
Fabien may have wealth, power, and a certain air about him that screams successful and knows it… yet there is another side to this man that Amy is about to discover. She would have never expected his help – in far more than how to set up a successful hotel endeavor.
I enjoyed the dynamics between Fabien and Amy, not quite enemies to lovers but not truly anything else either. It was a relationship that I enjoyed figuring out, and I’ll leave it at that. The simple fact is that they worked well together, even when there were tons of questions swirling around – perhaps even more then.
I would consider Escape to the Little Chateau to fall into the Romantic Suspense genre with puzzles and mysteries to figure out… but more information than that you’ll need to discover for yourself.
I enjoyed myself in this world. And if you enjoy a good love story mixed in with a bit of mystery then you’d feel right at home here.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Choc Lit/Ruby Fiction. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
