Title: Falling in Puppy Love

My Rating: 4.5 stars
I love a Romance where I can actually see one of the main characters change to the point that by the ending of the story they are far different than when I first met them. That holds true for Aiden, and a bit for Emily as well in ‘Falling in Puppy Love‘.
Aiden has returned to Birdsong, Pennsylvania (which I loved since I live in PA) after being fired from his position as a reporter at a New York City newspaper. The reasons were unfair, but the details I’ll leave for you to discover. Now he’s at the point of discovering where he goes from here, and his options aren’t numerous. For now, he’s writing for the small local paper on events leading up to and within the upcoming Festival. These assignments are going to change his world, his mindset, and perhaps point him in a new direction for his future. After all, Aiden never expected to fall in love.
Emily is devoted to animals, both domestic and wild. She’s looking to expand her small business of rescuing and finding forever homes for the dogs she comes to love. She’s a hard-working woman, holding down several small jobs in order to get her non-profit business off the ground – but her heart is in saving the animals who come into her life, for them, she will do just about anything.
As Emily and Aiden work together for the articles about her rescue work, where during the Festival Emily hopes to gather enough donations to move her rescue up to the next level, they’ll discover that it’s not only the adorable dogs or cute puppies that they’re falling in love with. When the time comes that Aiden has to make a choice to stay or go back to his world he will find that he’s not the same person who returned to Birdsong… and perhaps his priorities aren’t the same either.
Watching this couple fall in love was a delightful experience, yet what I enjoyed the most was seeing Aiden grow, change his mind on what is truly important in life, and give his heart a chance to guide him not his brain. If you enjoy a sweet romance with adorable animals, a couple that is meant to be, and a small-town that you’ll never want to leave then ‘Falling in Puppy Love‘ is a perfect match for you. I didn’t want to flip that last page on my Kindle, and I’m betting you’ll enjoy yourself in Birdsong, Pennsylvania, and not want to leave either.
I received an e-ARC of this novel from Tule Publishing. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
