Cover Description:

When the biker who broke her heart rides into town, a woman must choose between passion and duty. Jackie Ashenden ups the ante in a seductive series co-written with Megan Crane, Rachael Johns, and Maisey Yates.

Leonidas “Blue” Delacroix might be the prodigal son of New Orleans aristocrats, but the Deacons of Bourbon Street are his real family. And with their patriarch murdered, Blue wants nothing more than to unleash hell on the motorcycle club’s enemies—even if it means taking up arms against the girl who used to be his best friend. She’s done quite a bit of growing up, and suddenly their chemistry is red-hot. But where’s the line between ruthless seduction and sweet temptation?

For Alice Day, loyalty is everything. When Blue skipped town, she had no choice but to adopt a new family: their rivals, the Graveyard Ministry. Seeing him again reawakens old feelings . . . and fiery fantasies. Alice could never forget the scent of leather on his skin—just as she could never forgive the sting of his betrayal. But while the Ministry has treated her like one of their own, Blue is part of her soul. And as their liaisons hit the boiling point, Alice trusts her heart with the deadliest choice of her life.

Read on for my thoughts on Hold Me Down.  No true spoilers, promise.

Deacons of Bourbon Street continues to be a hot, enjoyable multi-authored series.  And Jackie Ashenden’s story, Hold Me Down is no exception to that ongoing rule.

Blue left town at Priest’s instruction, like the other members of the Deacons of Bourbon Street.  He didn’t want to go, but Priest and the other members were his family, closer than those people who had given him life.  His biggest regret was how fast he had to move gave him no time to tell his best friend Alice “Red”.  She would probably take his leaving hard, but certainly she would understand why he had to obey the head of his MC.

After Blue left town, Alice’s life fell apart one painful piece at a time until without the Deacons to come to her aid, she turned to the Graveyard Ministry MC when they were the only help between her and the streets.

With Priest murdered, Blue is back in town determined to take down those he feels brought about his friend’s death.  When he discovers his once best friend has grown into a beautiful woman with a mind of her own and aligned with the wrong club he sets out to take action.  And sparks are going to fly as these two come together in anger and in passion.

Hold Me Down is an intriguing and entertaining addition to the Deacons of Bourbon Street series.  Blue and Red are such a passionate couple, and not only in bed.  They might have once been best friends, but Blue left her when she needed him the most and she’s not about to forgive or forget that very fast.  Now, he’s going to have to work fast and hard to win back all that he lost.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Blue and Alice as well as the continuing story.  If you love motorcycle club romances then you should already know about the Deacons of Bourbon Street – and it’s time to add another great story to your reading lineup.

*I received an e-ARC of Hold Me Down from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
