Josey’s Christmas Cookie is a short, simply charming Christmas rescue on so many levels.  It hasn’t been that long since Josey’s parents were killed in a car accident.  Last Christmas was too soon after their loss for Josey to do much except get through the holiday.  And her boyfriend has simply walked away stating that her emotional needs right now were simply too much for him to handle.  Jerk!

This past year Josey has not done much more than go to work and come home, much to the concern of two adorable Mourning Doves who live close by.  They’re matchmakers themselves, but Josey’s sister may have just set up the best relationship yet.   Finally Josey is heading out to adopt a dog from a rescue event.  She doesn’t realize that she’ll not only get a dog to love, but a vet with a spark in his eye for only her.

Since this is a short story I’m not going to go much further – except to say that this is a Christmas romance that you’re going to want to put on your Christmas to read list.  The characters are fun and believable, Cookie and the Mourning Doves steal the show and you will fall in love with this couple who finally found that special someone the’d been searching for.
