For as long as Cassie Hunt can remember her Aunt Aggie has spoken about the forgotten world that exists just below their feet, in the tunnels and catacombs of the Sand House. The story is what inspired Cassie to become an archaeologist.
But Aggie has a secret that she’s buried as deep as the tunnels and when excavation work begins on the site, Cassie is the only one who can help her keep it.
With the assistance of her old university friend, Noah Flanagan, she puts into action a plan to honor Aggie’s wishes.
It seems the deeper Noah and Cassie dig, the more shocking the secrets uncovered – and danger is never far away, both above and below the ground.
Title: Keeper of Secrets
Author: Lynda Stacey
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Published: October 22, 2019
Publisher: Ruby Fiction / Choc Lit
My Rating: 4.5 stars
KEEPER OF SECRETS kept me glued to my Kindle throughout Cassie’s and Noah’s tale. What made the story even better, if possible, is that this Romantic Suspense is based on a real place – and the author has provided pictures of the tunnels, underground, and some pieces that will become very familiar to the reader over their time spent in this book. For me, knowing that a place I’m reading about actually exists in my real-world adds another layer of enjoyment to the story. My imagination is very good, yet knowing I can look up the “tunnels and catacombs of the Sand House” is an intriguing addition.
Most of what you’d really need to know before picking up KEEPER OF SECRETS can be found in the Cover Description. As with any Romantic Suspense or Mystery, I’m going to leave the exciting parts for you to discover on your own, firsthand as it should be. What I am willing to mention is the intense and intriguing mystery that Cassie and Noah must solve, along with their growing love for each other, will have you flipping pages quickly. There are twists and turns, a few surprises, and one damned good story to be found in Lynda Stacey’s latest book – and it’s one you will not want to miss. I enjoyed my time in this world filled with secrets, danger, and characters (both main and secondary) that came alive for me throughout this story. I’d not hesitate to recommend this one – and I’m already waiting for the next tale from Ms. Stacey.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Ruby Fiction/Choc Lit. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
