If Lacy Shaw could have one wish, it’s that the past would stay in the past. And with her high school reunion coming up, she has no intention of reliving the worst four years of her life. Especially when all she has to show for the last decade is how the shy bookworm blossomed into…the shy town librarian. Ditching the event seems the best option until a blistering hot alternative roars into Lacy’s life. Perhaps riding into the reunion on the back of Paris Montgomery’s motorcycle will show her classmates how much she really has changed.

While growing up as a foster kid, Paris Montgomery only felt at home in Sweetwater Springs, which is why he picked the small town to start over after his divorce. He can’t afford to ruin this refuge with another doomed relationship – especially one with a woman who is his total opposite. But when the town’s sweet librarian offers to help him reconnect with his foster dad, he finds they have more in common than he thought. Both are about to discover that home is where the heart is.

Title:  Kiss Me in Sweetwater Springs

My Rating:  4.5 stars

I’ll be frank and say that I’ve yet to meet an Annie Rains story that I didn’t love – true, some more than others, but they all carry me away to a Romance full of realistic characters experiencing slices of real life.  KISS ME IN SWEETWATER SPRINGS is no exception to that ongoing rule.

On the surface, Lacy and Paris appear quite the opposites but look a little closer and you’ll see two people who have always longed to belong somewhere, to someone special who sees their true value, the real person that they often hide from the world.

Since KISS ME IN SWEETWATER SPRINGS is novella length I won’t take the chance of spoiling it for future readers.  Everything you really need to know before picking this story up is in the Cover Description.  Beyond that – expect to have your emotions engaged, maybe shed a frustrated or eventually happy tear and fall in love with a town, grumpy residents included, and a couple that is so right for each other once they leave the past behind and look toward their future.

If you’ve read the entire series (so far) then you may remember Paris.  I was so looking forward to his story and was not one bit disappointed in the lasting love he’s found in shy Lacy.  Theirs is a happy for now romance, but I’m also hoping to catch glimpses of them as the series continues to sort of following along on their adventure toward a permanent happy ever after.

KISS ME IN SWEETWATER SPRINGS is a good reminder of how much I love this small town with all its quirky residents and the love that can be found right where you live.  I had a blast with Lacy and Paris and would not hesitate at all in recommending their story to any reader who simply loves a Romance that will touch your heart.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story.  It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
