Marry Me, Cowboy by Lilian Darcy

Champion barrel-racer Tegan Ash has nothing left to go home to in her native Australia and every reason to stay in the USA. But her visa is about to expire, and her prospective groom has called off their green-card wedding.

Jamie MacCreadie doesn’t actually want to marry a woman he can’t stand, but his best friend and fellow rodeo rider Chet has just let her down and, somehow, he finds himself offering to do the deed instead.

There’s no chance it could turn into the real thing because they have nothing in common… do they?

Title:  Marry Me, Cowboy
Series:  The 75th Copper Mountain Rodeo #2
Author:  Lilian Darcy
Genre:  Modern Western Romance
Published:  September 2013
Publisher:  Tule Publishing
My Rating:  4.5 stars

Tegan and Jamie have spent most of the last two years not liking each other much. Oh, lately they’ve done some good in getting over their annoyances around Chet, Tegan’s soon to be husband and Jamie’s friend and rodeo partner. But it really wasn’t easy as it seems the only thing these two know how to do is argue, or snip at each other. But there just might be more behind that constant snipping than either is ready to acknowledge, to themselves or each other.

When Chet decides he just cannot marry Teagan, their friendship takes on new meanings for them all. Somewhere along the line, Teagan stopped actively disliking Jamie, who knew that was even possible. And Jamie started to have far different feelings than annoyance around Teagan. When the trio heads to Marietta, Montana for the 75th Annual Copper Mountain Rodeo, well, life is about to change for them all

MARRY ME, COWBOY is a fun, a bit emotional romance between two people who would have sworn they were enemies until suddenly they were something else. Truths will come out, and families will face some rearranging of blame and tensions. Nothing is ever smooth sailing when it comes to families, and both Teagan and Jamie have reached the point where it’s time to mend fences. We’ll get a chance to catch up with Melinda and Rob from RODEO SWEETHEARTS for a bit. I love the connections that the families and friends in Marietta, Montana always have. There might be lots of strong, silent types around town, but the emotions are still there beneath the surface. I had fun with MARRY ME, COWBOY. Got a chance to see touches of long-loved friends within the series from their beginnings and that is pure entertainment for me.

Looking for an entertaining, fun and emotional Romance? Then head back to the beginnings of the Marietta, Montana world that’s become so addicting to its loyal readers. You’ll find a lovely romance, good friends and a series to get caught up in.
