Right off the bat I’m going to say that that if you have read Ms. Austin’s Magnolia Brides series then you’ll feel right at home with Must Love Babies.  If you haven’t done that already then there are some characters and relationships that might seem a bit confusing to you… but simply consider them as secondary characters and you’ll be just fine.  If you’ve read my reviews before then you know I’m a huge advocate of starting a series from the beginning – yet, I don’t think you need to read the parent series to enjoy Must Love Babies, but it’s a good series with enjoyable stories so I’d recommend it.

I adored Brant and want to steal him for my own.  He’s the family fixer, the one everyone seems to go to to solve problems even though he isn’t the eldest.  That fact is proven when he is called away from a wedding, and an interesting connection with Molly, to rescue his nephew from the threat of foster care.  His sister was in an accident, thankfully Jax wasn’t with her, but since she’s fallen off the wagon and heading back into rehab someone in the family needs to take care of her baby.   And Brant is it, even though he is a confirmed bachelor with no knowledge of babies whatsoever.

Molly got a different reaction from me, even though I personally know a few people like her with their lists and life plans that nothing in this world or beyond can budge.  Yes, Molly was building her business, and yes, she’d had a crappy father – but those are things that can be set aside when love comes your way and worked into the new equation.  I realize that for the story Molly had to be a stubborn, stick to the plan woman… but I didn’t warm up to her and in reality I was a pure Brant/Jax team member so Molly was a besides the point, she has to come along for the ride character.

Overall, I enjoyed Must Love Babies, will definitely be on the lookout for the next story in this series.  In the end, Brant and Molly are right for each other because quite simply Brant loved her just as she is.  And that alone is enough reason to love this story because that is one trait that most women look for to be loved exactly as they are without having to change a thing.  So, yeah, I enjoyed Brant and Molly’s story – but I was totally in love with Brant.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
