Madison Porter loves Honey Springs, but her days are one big rinse-wash-repeat routine of working for the mayor’s office and caring for the town’s matchmaking cat, Belle. She once bid on the town’s ice cream shop with hopes of running it herself, but the sweet deal seemingly wasn’t meant to be.
Patrick Manning moves to the tiny town of Honey Springs to start over. After outbidding his competition for building space, he now owns The Bean & Brew—and refuses to name his coffee shop with a bee-inspired moniker as per town tradition.
Madison soon uncovers paperwork proving she actually won the bid and is the rightful owner of the shop, but no way will Patrick forfeit his claim and rebuild his life again when he’s worked so hard. So when the town magistrate suggests a competition to see which business should prevail, they’re both all in. The winner earns the space, but soon their hearts are at stake.

Belle is working her matchmaking magic again in One Purrfect Summer – and the couple she’s paired up doesn’t stand a chance… even if they can’t stand one another right now. One matchmaking cat isn’t about to let two stubborn humans ruin her purrfect record, not gonna happen. Now, to convince Madison and Patrick of that small fact.
We return once again to Honey Springs, a small town with a love of anything honey or bees. Well, maybe not everyone is behind the bee obsession, there’s that outsider Patrick who won the bid for the old ice cream shop out from under the town favorite, Madison… or did he? Madison had her heart set on buying the ice cream shop when its owner retired but she was outbid and Patrick opened his very non-bee-friendly coffee shop instead. It’s been about 3 years since that fateful day, and perhaps most people would have gotten beyond it by now but not these two, they’ll avoid each other at every opportunity. Yet when Madison discovers proof that she had actually outbid Patrick and the shop should belong to her life is going to get interesting in this town… and romantic if one kitty has her say in the matter.
I had such fun with Patrick, Madison, and Belle once again. One Purrfect Summer is a delightful romance full of laughter, bantering, some touches of enemies to lovers, and one very determined, talented feline. Watching Madison and Patrick work their way from angry acceptance to working side-by-side willingly was an intriguing journey. And when that chemistry between them flairs up, deciding if they’re better together or apart isn’t really that difficult. If you love a good romance that captures your imagination, a matchmaking cat, and a couple of humans meant for each other then you’d enjoy this one. I can’t wait to see what Belle gets up to next!
