We return once again to Honey Springs, a small town with a love of anything honey or bees. Well, maybe not everyone is behind the bee obsession, there’s that outsider Patrick who won the bid for the old ice cream shop out from under the town favorite, Madison… or did he? Madison had her heart set on buying the ice cream shop when its owner retired but she was outbid and Patrick opened his very non-bee-friendly coffee shop instead. It’s been about 3 years since that fateful day, and perhaps most people would have gotten beyond it by now but not these two, they’ll avoid each other at every opportunity. Yet when Madison discovers proof that she had actually outbid Patrick and the shop should belong to her life is going to get interesting in this town… and romantic if one kitty has her say in the matter.
I had such fun with Patrick, Madison, and Belle once again. One Purrfect Summer is a delightful romance full of laughter, bantering, some touches of enemies to lovers, and one very determined, talented feline. Watching Madison and Patrick work their way from angry acceptance to working side-by-side willingly was an intriguing journey. And when that chemistry between them flairs up, deciding if they’re better together or apart isn’t really that difficult. If you love a good romance that captures your imagination, a matchmaking cat, and a couple of humans meant for each other then you’d enjoy this one. I can’t wait to see what Belle gets up to next!
