Charlotte “Lottie” McAlister is in the zone. She’s ready to take on the next chapter of her life, and since she doesn’t have a man, she’ll do what she’s done all along. She’ll take care of business on her own. Even if that business means starting a family.
The problem is, Lottie has a stalker. The really bad kind. The kind that means she needs a bodyguard.
Enter Mo Morrison.
Enormous. Scary.
Quiet.
Mo doesn’t say much, and Lottie’s used to getting attention. And she wants Mo’s attention. Badly.
But Mo has a strict rule. If he’s guarding your body, that’s all he’s doing with it.
However, the longer Mo has to keep Lottie safe, the faster he falls for the beautiful blonde who has it so together, she might even be able to tackle the demons he’s got in his head that just won’t die.
But in the end, Lottie and Mo don’t only have to find some way to keep hands off until the threat is over, they have to negotiate the overprotective Hot Bunch, Lottie’s crazy stepdad, Tex, Mo’s crew of frat-boy commandos, not to mention his nutty sisters.
All before Lottie finally gets her Dream Man.
And Mo can lay claim to his Dream Girl.

Title: Quiet Man
Series: Dream Man #4.5
Author: Kristen Ashley
Published: August 13, 2019
My Rating: 5 stars
A few years have passed in the lives of the Dream Man couples, the Rock Chick couples and even in the Chaos brotherhood. Marriages, kids, life moves forward yet every one of these beloved characters is still as badass as ever. Lottie (Jet’s sister) is still headlining at Smithie’s strip club, but this is a more mature Lottie who, as always, knows what she wants and goes after it, even if that something is unconventional. What she really wants is a Hot Bunch man to fall in love with, have some kids, and live the life that her sister and friends are living but all those guys are taken – what she’s going to end up with is her own Dream Man, but not before they face down a psychotic stalker whose eye is on one victim, Lottie.
I’m not going to go into spoilers here, if you want that there are many reviews that will tell you the entire book without having to read it yourself – this is not one of those. But QUIET MAN is a story that you need to experience firsthand, nothing else will prepare you for the emotions and the damn good story you’ll discover within this book.
I can give you my reaction to Mo and Lottie’s story, add that to the Cover Description and go get your own copy because you will be re-reading this one.
When you meet “the one” it doesn’t take any amount of time to know that deep in your gut, your heart – and Lottie and Mo knew they’d found their “one” at that first meeting. It’s obvious to them and to us. Mo is the strong, silent type of man who doesn’t speak much but when he does people listen, many have to as their life may be on the line if they don’t follow his instructions. When Mo was given the assignment as Lottie’s bodyguard he was involved in this case 24/7. And when Mo is guarding your body, he’s not doing anything else with it… while in his professional role. That didn’t stop the sexual tensions that could be cut with a knife between Lottie and Mo. Or the way that they got to know each other in all the other ways that matter.
There are intense parts of QUIET MAN that will capture your complete attention. Emotions – the huge gambit of emotions I experienced while reading this story range from fear to joy, laughter to tears, and everything in between. You cannot read Mo and Lottie’s tale without getting emotionally involved. Of course, there are sizzling sexy moments but there is so much more. This is an extreme slice of life story lived through intense danger but life nonetheless.
Loved that we got to run into so many of the Rock Chicks, with a few insider jokes and comments that devotes of that series (like me) got. Enjoyed running into Hawk’s crew again, and he is just as intense and sexy as ever. We see or hear of just about everyone we’ve enjoyed throughout those two series that come together in QUIET MAN. And I enjoyed every single moment in this story. And we’re given a hint of the new The Dream series that is to come in May of 2020. I cannot wait to start that as Lottie brings her girls together with Mo’s crew — hotness is going to sizzle and love is going to take flight. Yeah, I’m waiting for that.
In all, I had a fantastic time in the world of Rock Chicks, Hot Bunches, and Dream Men once again. If you’ve loved those series then this is an extra special treat for you. If you have no idea what I’m talking about… well, you’d enjoy this one for sure, but you’d love it more if you knew all of the background going into this story. That’s my opinion anyway. I would not, for one moment, hesitate to recommend QUIET MAN to any romance reader who loves her heroes hot, her heroines sassy and the action intense in all ways. Grab this one, you won’t regret it.
I own a Kindle edition of QUIET MAN.
Available in paperback and for the Kindle
