Cover Description:

A wedding. A playboy. And a week he’ll make sure she never forgets.

Kinni Corbet is the perfect bridesmaid. She’s efficient and has a to-do list for every occasion. When the bride-to-be adds “relax and have some fun” to Kinni’s schedule, Price Lyons seems to tick all the right boxes. He’s guaranteed fun, and it’s only for one week—what can it hurt?

Playboy hotel owner Price Lyons has wanted to break down Kinni’s walls for years. Her plan to relax for a whole week is the perfect opportunity to get to the one person he’s never been able to charm. And this time, she seems…receptive to his advances. Unexpected, but he’ll take it.

There’s just one problem. Kinni’s allergic to spontaneity, and the only thing predictable about Price is his unpredictably. There’s no way they’ll last beyond the week, and Kinni’s going to make sure of it.

It’s so very easy to only see the surface of a person’s life and believe that you know everything you need to know about them to make a judgement call.  That so often leads to misunderstandings and the loss of getting to know someone amazing based on their surface.  Our couple is a perfect example –

Price is a successful hotel owner who lives life to the fullest having fun at most everything he does.  He owns fancy cars and can afford any toy he might desire.  So on the surface you think – rich boy, comes from money, had it easy his entire life.  You’d be wrong.  Price has worked his way up to business owner, worked very hard to get the life he now enjoys.  He doesn’t come from money, but from pure, hard work.  His personality is to enjoy life and there is nothing wrong with that.

On the other hand, Kinni is so structured in her life that if one thing is out of place it could cause a panic attack.  She’s a recently graduated, licensed lawyer in search of the ideal job – except she’s not finding the interview process very promising.  She is determinedly obsessive about lists, charts, notes and reminders.  You might look at Kinni and see a woman who is too uptight to even consider letting down her hair and having some fun.  But did you stop and think that maybe her younger years were so unconventional, so scattered without any framework to make life functional that she now needs that strict structure to her life in order to survive.  So you see, what is on the surface doesn’t tell the tale of how it got there or what’s underneath.  There’s a reason for the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”  That reason would be Price and Kinni.

When Kinni’s friend, the bride, asks her as a wedding favor to her to take the week leading up to the wedding and go have some fun… Kinni’s not sure she can do that.  There is still so much to be done before the big day, but she’ll try.  Price overhears this promise and since he’s been wanting to get to know Kinni better but she keeps shutting him down, decides that he’s the perfect man to ensure that she keeps that promise to Roxy.  What follows is a charming romantic comedy about two people, their misconceptions of each other, toss in a couple misunderstandings and some sizzling attraction and you have Random Acts of Marriage.

This is a quick and enjoyable story in the Wedding  Favor series.  I spent some serious time giggling at this couple’s antics and, I admit, some eye rolling as well.  You could call this story an enemies to lovers, opposites attract.. or you could call it what it is – a good, solid love story laced with humor and misunderstandings that ends up with the perfect couple together.  And you’d be right on all counts.  So go ahead, have some fun yourself and enjoy Kinni and Price’s romance.

*I received an e-ARC of Random Acts of Marriage from the publisher, Entangled Publishing – Lovestruck and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
