Maid-of-Honor Dani Brown can handle anything that comes her way when it comes to her best friend’s wedding. That is, until the bride asks for a huge favor—Dani needs to distract the best man, who happens to be Dani’s ex. The ex she has fantasized dismembering for a year now. The ex she’ll have to suck it up and play nice with if this wedding is to go off without a hitch.

Businessman Jamie Kingsland is back in Seattle for a wedding. There’s just one problem – the maid of honor wants him dead. Except she doesn’t. Even though he knows he broke her heart last year when things got too serious and he panicked and left, she’s being way too nice about it now. And it scares him.

Something is up with his favorite bridesmaid, and he’s determined to find out what.

Read on for my thoughts on Bridesmaid Blues.  No true spoilers, promise.

What a delightful romance Bridesmaid Blues is.  Some guys panic at the mere mention of the L word.  Yeah, Jamie panicked himself right out of town when Dani first mentioned that she loved him.  Now he’s back in town to be the best man at his friend’s wedding – and so is Dani, as the maid of honor.

Dani and Jamie have such chemistry, and they can get very very steamy together.  So when Dani proposed a friends with benefits arrangement, what male with blood running through his veins is going to turn that down.  Jamie cares about Dani, but with his family’s history he doesn’t believe in the happy ever after nor in the union called marriage.  But spending time with Dani, beginning to trust those feelings – Jamie is starting to change his mind.

I really enjoyed Dani and Jamie’s romance.  There are two people who should be together, and will eventually get there – but there is a journey ahead of them to get to their own happy ending.  I loved the girls banter and relationship between Dani and her friend/the bride Roxy.  Everything about this novel is just so believable and it could happen in real life realistic.  That matters to me, if I’m going to believe in the happy ever after then I have to believe in the romance as well.

This is a story that I would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys their romance light hearted, fast paced and steamy.  If you are looking for a fun, enjoyable romance for the beach or back porch this summer, then Bridesmaid Blues is perfect for you.  Pick it up and indulge.

*I received an e-ARC of Bridesmaid Blues from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
