Synopsis:

A near-death experience at the hands of her husband would cause any woman to cling to her crippling trust issues and dating phobia, and Macyn McIntyre is no exception. Falling into the lap of a sexy stranger may persuade her to change her mind, but before Macyn realizes what’s happening, a second potential love interest is vying for her affections.

When a threatening letter turns up in her mailbox, Macyn realizes choosing between two guys is the least of her worries. Abduction, violence, and rescue by an elite squad change the course of her life forever. When she seeks revenge on those who hurt her, she has to decide if she can trust the ones who vow they love her.

Will Macyn be able to overcome her past and use their aid in her vendetta, or will she take matters into her own hands?

Read on for  my thoughts on Macyn’s Letter.  No true spoilers, promise.

This is one of those novels where if I say to much or allude to an event – then I’m in danger of giving too much away.  And really the synopsis gives you pretty much what you will encounter in Macyn’s Letter.

The story opens up 9 years previously, with Macyn on her way to an anniversary date with her husband, she’s running late.  Soon she won’t be having that celebration – but her entire world will have shattered into a million pieces.

Macyn’s Letter is about renewal, especially unexpected or even unwanted renewal.   Devon, Macyn’s business partner has been in love with her for years  now.. but she only sees the friend, the business partner.  Now she’s ready to put a few toes in the water of dating again.  But Devon isn’t on her list, and he plans to put himself right in the middle.

There are a lot of things going on in this novel.  Not too much, but close to that point, for me.  Between crazy new dates, even crazier ex’s, trashing homes, stalking, kidnapping and more — there are a lot of strings to follow.

I liked this novel.  I do not normally like to be left on an edge of the story until the next in the series is released, but it did work here… mainly, because there is an introductory section into the next novel which does explain the “cliffhanger” that never was.  I will most likely pick up the next two books and continue to know the very end of the story.

I cannot say it was one of my favorite novels, but it was an enjoyable, well told story.  If you are a reader who enjoys mysteries mixed in with your romance, then Macyn’s Letter will be perfect for you.

*I received an e-ARC of Macyn’s Letter from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

~What you, the reader, always must remember is this simple truth. Any review is just one person’s opinion. You might feel the same or totally different. The only way to know for certain if any novel is right for you – is for you to read it. This was my opinion of this particular book.~

Macyn’s Letter is available in paperback and for the Kindle
