Cover Description:
Taylor Harris–Marietta, Montana’s new librarian–is the quiet type who likes her glamour between the book covers. When she’s pushed into attending the formal Valentine Ball with Marietta’s Most Eligible Bachelor, Troy Sheenan, Taylor can’t imagine a worse pairing. What in the world would she have in common with a wealthy playboy like Troy?
Technology tycoon Troy is forced by business concerns to return to his hometown and take the town librarian to the Valentine Ball… what he doesn’t expect is that Taylor is even less excited about the prospect than he is! Intrigued by the only woman in town who wouldn’t be thrilled to take his arm at the big event, he’s determined that she will not just agree to be his date… bur she’s going to like it. Can Taylor turn a cold shoulder to Troy’s heart-melting charms, or is this about to be Marietta’s hottest Valentine’s Ball yet?
Read on for my thoughts on The Tycoon’s Kiss. No true spoilers, promise.
Taylor preferred spending her nights between the covers – of a good book. She had no interest in being set up for a date for the Ball and especially not with Troy Sheenan. She was Marietta’s new librarian, due to take over for the retiring librarian in June. What in the world could she possibly have in common with Troy who was handsome, wealthy, a son of a long standing Marietta family and… well, no, she just couldn’t do it.
Troy was returning to Marietta for a few reasons, most importantly his father was in failing health and he simply could not stay away when this might be the last visit with his dad. The Graff Hotel, his baby, his money-pit, his pride and joy – newly renovated, saved from the demolition crew by his determination and his money would be the venue for the Valentine Ball and while he might not believe in marriage, he certainly believed in taking the charming new librarian to the Ball – even if she tried to hide her beauty behind huge glasses and an older than she was attitude. Plus the added fact that she was trying so hard to get out of this set up date intrigued him. He couldn’t remember the last time a lady did not want to be around him, she was a bit of a mystery that he intended to solve.
It’s impossible to not fall in love with Troy and Taylor’s story. They are just so right for each other and, darn it, so cute together. I don’t think the silly smile left my face the entire time I was reading this one. I simply really enjoyed the way their attraction played out, it was so natural and engaging.
I have no problem highly recommending The Tycoon’s Kiss to anyone who needs a good love story in their life. This one is it. Pick it up and indulge.
Any review is just one person’s opinion. You might feel the same or totally different. The only way to know for certain is for you to read it. This was my opinion of this particular book
