“Secret Millionaire for the Surrogate” delivers a touching romance with the background of an extremely sensitive subject.

There are moments when Drew and Harper seem almost too opposites to ever find a middle ground to build their relationship on.  Each has emotional issues to deal with, and they do, each in their own unique way… but that doesn’t stand in the way of emotions entering into their relationship, even if they fight against them at times.  I “got” both sides in this story, and I also was so satisfied to see them work through those things that got in the way… maybe, again, in their own unique way but what they felt was more important than what they feared.

It takes a very special person to become a surrogate.  I don’t think that can be said enough.  It’s an act of love in itself.  Adele and Harper’s relationship is almost as important in this story as the romance with Drew.  It takes a certain amount of trust and emotions to trust a woman to carry your child… and to give that child to you, forever.  Yes, their friendship, even when Adele went a bit too overprotective, is a strong part of this story.

Because of their backgrounds a slow burn, slowly developing romance worked well for Harper and Drew.  I never doubted their affection, simply waited for their logical heads to catch up with their hearts.  I had such a good time with “Secret Millionaire for the Surrogate” and I would definitely recommend this one, actually both stories, to any reader who loves a good story, likable, believable characters and a well deserved happy ending.

I own a Kindle edition of this story.
