My Crazy Life This Week
Gah! I can’t believe it’s been this long since I did a “Stacking the Shelves” – how did that even happen?!? Aw well, time to catch up then. 🙂
2019 has been a crazy year. Some fantastic, some the deepest pit of Hell. But, that’s life, right? When the bad stuff happens all I can do is stay positive, find something good that came out of it and move on. “No regrets, over and done.” is my new mantra when life gets hard or the memories of the bad try to take over.
The one constant is reading, my books are my escape, my chance to trade in my world for another even if it’s only for a little while. Maybe “escape” is the wrong word, gives off a negative vibe – perhaps my chance to travel to new destinations, meet new people and have some exciting adventures along the way sounds a lot better. 🙂
Books Added to My Shelves This Week
I may have gone a bit crazy on Amazon this past week. For some reason, I’m on a Harlequin style reading kick – and absolutely nothing wrong with that! I just didn’t realize that so many of what I bought were actually Harlequin titles. I seem to be in the mood for their Intrigue™, Romantic Suspense™, and Heartwarming™ stories right now.
Let’s move the rest of this post to the “Read More” tab so it’s not too long on the front page.
Books added continued
I am addicted to series, especially connecting series so much of what I picked up is in a series or the start of a new one:
- Cowboy’s Rescue by Marie Ferrarella – the beginning of Colton 911 series
- Her Favorite Maverick by Christine Rimmer – the start of a connecting part of her Montana Mavericks series
- From Mistake to Millions by Andrea Laurence – the beginning of Switched! (she is a new-to-me author so I’m excited to read this one)
And then there are the continuing a series:
- Colton’s Mistaken Identity by Geri Krotow – Coltons of Roaring Springs
- Falling for the Cowboy Dad by Patricia Johns – and –
- The Lawman’s Baby by Patricia Johns – both in the Home to Eagle’s Rest series (I’m catching up)
And the one that has no series (as far as I can tell)
I also picked up a few Paranormal Romance by brand new-to-me authors… you know, the start the series with a no-cost book and then decide if the series is for you. And I’ll make that decision – but, hey, they’re Paranormal/Shifter Romance so I’m pretty sure I’ll go for it. 🙂
(I’ve linked the titles to their Goodreads descriptive page if you want to know more about any these stories)
And that’s enough for this week. I have my eye on some releases next week – we’ll see if the book budget allows or if I have to wait a bit. 🙂
I hope you found some amazing books to add to your Stack this week. I’m sure by visiting sites I’m going to be adding to my growing TBR pile later today… but that’s the fun of this.
Happy Reading!
I always see the experiences in my life as something I needed to go through to grow and learn. That way I don’t have regrets 🙂

I completely agree with that. I use that “No regrets, over and done.” mantra when the memories or the thoughts that belong in the past try to invade the present as a reminder and a cutoff to live in the present for the past is indeed over and done with. 🙂
