Rebecca Wigg is tall, slender, blonde and blue-eyed, headstrong and independent. She loves living at the Wigg School and Foundling Home where she was raised but finds she and the other teachers the school is closing. She chooses to be a mail-order bride, having faith the Lord will provide her a good husband. Nothing serious, gambling, fighting, etc. Katie decides he needs a woman to settle him down and give him some responsibility. Together with her cousin Matelyn, she writes and sends an ad to the Brides Bulletin in hopes a woman will find her ad appealing.
