THE SASSY BRIDE might be novella length but it packs an emotional and reality check punch quite well.  This time the happy couple have already fallen deeply in love and are at the planning the wedding stage.  Life would be perfect if it weren’t for those pesky details… the future mother-in-law who can’t stand you and will work overtime to sabotage the wedding and doesn’t have one single nice cell in her body.  There’s that.  And then there’s Sadie losing herself in her attempt to get Ashton’s mother to at least tolerate her if she can’t love her for her son’s sake.  She’s almost trading one family for another – and she’s beginning to see that leaving her sisters behind just isn’t an option for her.

Sadie isn’t facing bridal jitters – she’s having a full blown panic attack, the kind that has you making a decision that isn’t in your best interests.

I absolutely adored Ashton.  Yes, he might have been oblivious to his mother’s actions for a bit – but when it mattered he stood up for, and right beside his future wife.  His love for her is absolute, and I loved seeing that type of devotion in action.  Admittedly, there were times when Sadie had a bit of an attitude – but then with what she’s faced her entire life since her parents abandoned their family – well, she’s entitled to a hissy fit now and then.

I enjoyed Sadie and Ashton’s romance.  Sometimes you find that person who just “gets” you, will be there for you no matter what – that’s what this couple has, and I loved their adventure.
