Logistics director Rose Powell agreed to chaperone her grandmother on a guided tour of Roman ruins on one condition: her brother Jack would come with her. But when Jack backs out, his best friend and fellow SEAL Keenan Parker takes his place. Without a working cell phone, Rose’s orderly world drifts into dreamy days and hot, secret nights in Keenan’s bed.
Keenan left the Navy but never made it any farther than Istanbul, much less to a viable future. Until he does, he’ll show Rose things she didn’t know about herself. Can he give his heart and his future to the woman he promised his best friend he’d never touch?
Read on for my thoughts on The SEAL’s Secret Lover. No true spoilers, promise.
Short, Sweet ‘n Sexy – that pretty much describes The SEAL’s Secret Lover. This is the introduction to the Alpha Ops series – and it is a very short novella. But it pack a pretty powerful, sexy romance between Rose and Keenan… along with several chuckles from the Bucket List Babes crew. 🙂
The Sweet – is Rose. She’s got a powerful job filled with tension and stress, but she’s taken vacation time to escort her grandmother and a few of her friends on one of their “bucket list” adventures. She was expecting her brother to come along but he tanked on her and sent his friend instead. And what a friend!
The Sexy – is Keenan. Now ex-military, Keenan hasn’t quite decided to do with his life just yet. So he’s still in the Middle East, doing “things” so when Jack asked him for a favor it wasn’t that much of a hardship to be surrounded by ladies for two weeks – especially Jack’s sister Rose who is as sexy as sin and would have her nose to the grindstone even on vacation if her cell phone would cooperate. Keenan is more than willing to show Rose how to relax and enjoy this adventure. Neither one planned on it but soon that vacation fling feels more like the settle down forever thing.
If you’re looking for a fast read but one that packs a strong romance, some sexy times and some sweet granny chuckles, then The SEAL’s Secret Lover should be on your reading list. Be sure to keep a watch out for the rest of the series, I know I will be.
*I received an e-ARC of The SEAL’s Secret Lover from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
