When Everly’s family discovers Cooper’s a werewolf, her brothers will do anything to keep them apart-they’ll kill him if they have to. Everly is falling hard for the ridiculously handsome SWAT officer, and she’s not about to let her brothers tell her who she can love… Until Cooper’s secret is exposed and she discovers the man she thought she knew is a monster in disguise.
Read on for my thoughts on To Love A Wolf. No true spoilers, promise.
To Love A Wolf starts off explosively – and it doesn’t slow down until the last page. To be honest, I’ve declared each and every book in this series as my “favorite”, well of the moment because the next one is even better than the one before. This is a series that has really captured my attention and my loyalty – it’s just a well written, action packed, luscious Alpha men (and women) in uniform who just happen to be werewolves – what’s not to love about that?
Cooper has watched as his friends and team mates have taken the fall for that one special lady. He’s not so sure that there’s someone out there for him but he’s happy for those who found their One. The absolute last place he figured he’d find his own One was in line at the bank – in the middle of a bank robbery. Go figure.
When Everly’s errands took her to the bank that day, probably the last thing on her mind was finding a hot, sexy guy behind her in line and making a date on the spot – or some jerk trying to take her hostage during a bank robbery. Thankfully for all of them, except maybe the bank robbers, Cooper was there and saved lives that day.
Everly is caught up in the excitement of finding a man who really gets her, Cooper is falling hard and trying to figure out just how to tell this wonderful woman about his special abilities. Unfortunately for their blossoming romance, Everly has very overprotective brothers. Once they realize exactly what Cooper is they will destroy him before they let him near their sister. The Danu family has reason for their reaction, but that doesn’t mean that Everly is going to put up with their shenanigans… until she learns a truth that she’ll have to either accept or walk away from.
In the midst of Cooper’s personal romantic troubles, and they are major problems when your girl’s family is out to kill you. There is also a serial bomber at large, and a question about whether he really knows someone he trusts as well as he thought.
To Love A Wolf is full of action, emotions and a couple twists. Everly and Landry are so right for each other, she fits right in with the ladies of his team and the guys like and respect her. It takes Everly’s family a bit longer to get to that cozy stage, but eventually they’ll be won over. The twists will add tension to an already explosive situation. It’s always a bonus to run into characters from the previous books, and this time there is a very special occasion to celebrate. I adore the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series, and as we wind our way through more team members finding their One – I simply do not want this series to end. I’m addicted.
*I received an e-ARC of To Love A Wolf from the publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
