The Armstrong brothers are wealthy, wild-at-heart bad boys—until their father’s will demands they prove themselves and marry in order to inherit their fortune.
Eldest brother Cooper channels his reckless spirit into becoming CEO of his own airline. The only thing better than the adrenaline rush of flying is his one-night stand with a stunning stranger. At first he doesn’t recognize the fiery barista he clashes with years later at an airport coffee shop. But when Stormy Halifax turns up as his new house sitter, Cooper knows she’s his Cinderella. And he doesn’t just want her in his mansion. He wants her back in his bed.
Stormy can’t believe she’s living under Cooper’s roof. Gorgeous and arrogant, he’s convinced she’ll surrender again—and he’s right. But just as Stormy is succumbing to a world of pleasure, her trust is shattered. And the biggest challenge Cooper has ever faced will be proving he wants Stormy, now and forever, for all the right reasons.
Turbulent Intentions was originally published as Below the Radar – The Billionaire Aviators. This edition has been completely edited and revised, including significant plot changes.
Cooper, Nick, Maverick and Ace – the Armstrong brothers. Rich, entitled, arrogant and so very certain of their place in the world… right on top. They are out of control. And their father’s dying words, his declaration that they will change into men he could have been proud of along with the loss of a portion of their vast inheritance should they not follow their father’s last wishes to the letter – lead to some very angry young men, angry at their family, circumstances and completely unwilling to be forced into anything. They have a lot of growing up to do.
Soon after his father’s death, Cooper attended a family member’s wedding. He didn’t want to be there but when he sighted the beautiful woman sitting alone and trying to look unnoticed he stepped in and changed lives. Stormy’s friend had talked her into crashing this huge society wedding. It really wasn’t something she’s too proud of but she went along with it. Now she cannot find her friend and she’s decided to slip away – until the handsome man walked up and captured her attention. They had one amazing night, steamy beyond words and perfectly right was how she felt about this stranger. But she slipped away while he slept and did her best to forget the encounter for she was far from his world.
Six years can make a huge difference in a life. Cooper has found his place in life, on his own terms. He’s not only the CEO of a successful airlines, he’s also a pilot for his own company. He hasn’t backed down on the final requirement his father had put to his sons, to find a woman to love and marry for a truly happy content life — and he has no intention of following that dictate either. He’s quite happy with his one night stands across the country or the world. Until he runs into a lovely barista at the airport coffee shop, one who seems so familiar to him.
Stormy cannot believe she’s run into Cooper once again – or that he has absolutely no memory of their night, a night that she’s relived many times over the years. But she has too much happening in her life right now to overthink about the annoying pilot. She’s about to be evicted and she’s also dealing with the possibility of losing her job over his arrogance, so yeah, she’s not exactly thrilled with him or life at the moment. In steps a well known matchmaking gentlemen with a lot of experience and Cooper’s uncle – together they’ve got this covered.
I enjoyed Turbulent Intentions very much. I’ll admit that Cooper (well, all the brothers) rubbed me wrong for at least half of the story. He is so arrogant it’s almost unbearable. Personality, partly – the way he was raised in his early years, – definitely. But he’s become a successful businessman in his own right now. Pilots may be naturally near surgeons in their arrogance factor, but Cooper was out there. Knowing what he was up against with Joseph and Simon… I knew he’d do some turning around, but it was painful to watch the process at times. The last quarter of the story was the best for me, full of tensions, danger and reality sinking in for all the parties involved. It was well worth going through the early turmoil to get to that ending.
While I’m looking forward to the other brothers’ stories, I have to admit that Ace is going to be the most interesting. He is as bad of a bad boy as you’re ever going to read about. The woman who captures this man is going to have to be strong and able to tame one wild personality. I can’t wait for that story. Overall, I would easily recommend this story and the series for anyone who loves Contemporary Romance… and bad boys.
*I received an e-ARC of Turbulent Intentions from the publisher, Montlake Romance and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
