When SWAT Officer Max Lowry meets Lana Mason, he falls fast and hard. He’s positive she’s The One. And Max’s favorite part? Lana’s a wolf shifter too, so they can skip the awkward reveal and head straight to the happily ever after. There’s just one problem: Lana doesn’t know that she’s a werewolf.
To make matters worse, hunters with intent to kill have tracked Lana to Dallas. Max has to figure out how to keep Lana safe, show her who and what she really is—and just how much she means to him.

In Wolf Hunger one of the youngest members of the team finally gets to experience what many members already have, meeting their one. At first sniff, Max is feeling rather sure of himself since this woman is a wolf shifter, gets rid of all those complicated awkward conversations about “oh, by the way, did you know people actually turn into wolves” thing. Yeah, Max was feeling pretty good about life right up until he met Lana face to face. One, she’s the daughter of one very powerful man who is ranks above him in his profession, and Two – she has no clue that she’s a werewolf. Okay, so bring on the awkward and complicated conversations.
I have loved this series from the very first book. It’s an intense world, a hidden world in many ways but as the series continues so much about this world is changing, evolving into something that, if possible, becomes even more intriguing as time goes on. Behind the current couple and the romantic suspense in their particular story we’ve seen this world grow, have had questions answered but even more questions are left unanswered, for we didn’t know the questions to ask. I have enjoyed watching this world expand, and now I’m even more intrigued to see where our SWAT members will go next while preparing for what feels like an all out war.
Gage, commander and alpha of this pack, has been preparing his team as best he could for what he’s felt is certainly coming at them. What Gage and his team don’t know is that the Hunters are already here. Max has just found the woman for him, and dealing with her disbelief is one thing but now he’s also fighting for her life since not only are the Hunters here… they’re after Lana specifically.
I liked Max and Lana together – I particularly liked Lana for her strength, and for one of the most realistic responses to the “hey, I, and now you, turn furry occasionally, don’t worry it’s no big deal” conversation. Every new member brings something unique to this group and to the series. With the developments, twists and turns in Wolf Hunger I’m really looking forward to discovering the next steps for this amazing group of people.
Wile some might say that you could read these books out of order, I’d disagree for some background developments build throughout the series. I’d recommend Wolf Hunger and the entire series to any reader who enjoys Romantic Suspense, Mystery and Paranormal Romance. It’s fast paced, steamy and an entire world unto itself – you’ll be hooked in a very good way.
