Katerina Lorbiecki wanted to raise her daughter and continue her nursing career away from the memories and difficulties of living with her brother and sister-in-law and the unwanted advances of her employer. The young widow is recommended for a nurse’s position in the Western town of Creede, Colorado.
Logan O’Leary arrives in Creede to work with his brother after a failed romance. Leaving San Francisco for a small, quiet town seems like the best plan for his future.
Katerina and Logan feel a spark, but will the arrival of an unexpected old love dampen the new love blooming between them and can an angel in pink help them find their way?

Title: Charming the Caregiver
Series: Cowboys and Angels #43
Author: Marianne Spitzer
Genre: Western Historical Romance

My Rating: 4 stars
CHARMING THE CAREGIVER is another fun romance in the Cowboys and Angels multi-author series. This time around we find two people who seem like the last thing they’re looking for is romance yet, leave it to an angel to show them the light of their future. Kat and Logan each have given up on romance for far different reasons. Logan is coming to Creede, CO to work with his brother escaping a broken heart back in San Francisco. Kat is hoping for a bright future in Creede as she and her young daughter travel West for the chance at a nursing position for Kat and the freedom to just be a child for Susanna. What they will find in Creede is a good life, some major issues to be faced, and one lovely angel who will gently guide them along the best path for them.
I enjoyed Logan and Kat – and especially sweet, mischievous little Susanna. I wish Kat wasn’t so prone to quickly believe the worst of Logan but, without the conflict, it’s a different story. CHARMING THE CAREGIVER is a sweet, enjoyable story with no real villain (you’ll see why) and a new start for three people who definitely deserve it and each other. I had fun, and that’s the whole point. I would not hesitate to recommend this or any story in the Cowboys and Angels series – I’ve had a blast in Creede and I believe you would, too.
