FeatureFollowParaAlisonGain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and  Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

This week’s Feature Blog is:  Mischievous Reads  and  Diane’s Book Blog.  Be sure to check out their blogs and give them a Follow (if you aren’t already).  🙂

Because this blog does not have the ability to put up GFC I would appreciate a follow through Bloglovin’.  Thanks so much.

This week’s question:

Do you have any furry friends? Share a picture!

I share an apartment with one son, two cats and at last count 37 fishies.  Do they all count?  😉

Okay, okay – so the fish are out, but here are my two cats.

Charlie- who is now 18 years old.  Our grey striped, tabby cat – who rules the house, even though his run is now more like a stroll.  He has the unblinking “My water dish is empty, Human!”  stare down to a Oscar winning performance.

Charlie

And Leia – who is about to turn 3 (but shall never outgrow her terrible 2’s stage, I’m convinced.)  Leia is an Alpha cat wannabe, but despite her size (she’s double the size of Charlie) the true ruler only needs to do a one side of the mouth snarl in Leia’s direction and she falls down and exposes her belly to be washed or scratched.  *rolls eyes*  Cats and their dynamics gotta love ’em.

Leia 10

So what are you waiting fo?  Here’s the Hop – get hoppin’.  🙂

Yeah, they are – think I’ll keep ’em 😉

Thanks for the follow and I’ve returned the favor.

      Thanks for visiting.

Awww. Leia weighed in at 32 pounds her last checkup – and there is not an ounce of fat on her, she is pure muscle and fluff. Charlie is the lightweight now at 11 pounds.

      Thanks for the visit.

My tank had 6 fish in it – but my son has a larger tank with about 28-30 in it, but there are some pretty sexually active fish in his tank so there are always babies popping out from behind rocks. lol

Thanks for the visit and for the follow, I have returned the favor. 🙂

For now it’s only cats ‘n fish for us. We have plans to move over the summer, hopefully then we can get that Husky we’ve been longing for. It’s just not fair, in my opinion, to try to keep a large dog in a 5th floor apartment.

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  1. So CUTE!! I’m kind of scared of cats, because I was clawed by one of my grandmother’s cats, and the nail was stuck in my leg, so it had to be kind of ripped out. So I’ll pet a cat, but I’ll never hold one again. Your kitties look really cuddly, though.

Oh, my goodness! I can understand why you’d not want to hold one again.

      Thanks for visiting 🙂

Charlie is admittedly my baby – he’s been with us for almost 2 decades now and I know his time is winding down. He is my BFF. 🙂

Thanks for the follow and I have returned the favor.

Glad you came over for a visit

  2. My kitty is less than a year old and he is all over the place. I hope mine grows out of it, but I kind of feel like you do and that he won’t grow out of it. It seems to be so much a part of him I don’t think he knows any other way!!

I know how you feel. 🙂 I know I’m older then when Charlie was a kitten – but I do not remember him being so full of constant, non-stop energy. Maybe he was and we’ve just both gotten older. *laughs*

Thanks for the visit and the follow, I have returned the favor. 🙂

  3. Hopping through. Both are so cute. Congrats on Charlie to reaching such a ripe old age. I think my cat would slit my throat with her declawed front paws if I ever got another cat. She finally forgave me for getting a dog, but would never get over having a cat.

Charlie wasn’t so pleased with the (at the time) tiny white fluff ball – his reaction was to look quizzically at it while holding it down from jumping on him with one paw – then back up at me with a “Why?” written all over his grandfatherly face. Just “WHY?” lol

      Thanks for visiting. 🙂

Leia is the size of a small dog – in fact, I’m not sure that she isn’t at times. Her papers say Ragdoll but she is H U G E. lol

Thanks for the visit and the follow, I returned the favor earlier 🙂

    • Marcy

Oh no! That is no fun at all. I, too, want to have Husky one day. Livin on the 5th floor isn’t fair to a dog tho, so that adoption has to wait til we move.

Thanks for visiting, and for the follow – I have returned the favor 🙂

  4. Your kitties are so cute! They look so cozy. Thank you for stopping by. 🙂

Thanks. They can be a double trouble but I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

      Thanks for visiting 🙂

Charlie has inscrutable down pat. His face is so … expressive for a cat. I love him more than I can say – and at 18 I know he isn’t going to be with us much longer. We’ve had a good life together, me and my BFF cat. 🙂

      Thanks for visiting. 🙂

    • Marcy

Yes, they definitely are fluffy. That fluff all over the house could probably make a sweater if I knew how to knit. 😉

      Thanks for visiting.

  5. Wow! 18 years old! That’s awesome! I love little Leia, too! (:

I don’t really know where exactly the time went. He was born around Halloween of 1996. Such a fierce little kitten – and I got picked as his Human – over my son’s complaints (Charlie was supposed to be “his” cat)… but cats pick their own Human not the other way around. I’m told that when I left for work in the mornings Charlie would sit in front of the door for an hour or so – seemly convinced I was just on the other side playing a game and would pop open the door at any second.

🙂 Leia is trying to be the Alpha cat around here, but despite her size keeps getting put in her place… she’s gonna have to wait her turn.

      Thanks for the visit.

    • Marcy

      Thanks. 🙂

I think they know they are adorable just by the way they pose themselves. lol

      Thanks for visiting.

    • Marcy

Yep, 18 years old. I am so blessed to have had him in my life for so very long. I know cats can be long-lived, but I never, ever expected to have Charlie still be with us now.

And yes, Leia is even larger in person. lol She loves empty boxes (like all cats) but a Kleenex box? Tissue boxes are some of her favorites to try to shove her body into. It obviously doesn’t work out well, but her attempts are moments of hilarity around our house.

Thanks for visiting and for the follow, I have returned the favor. 🙂

  6. They really do pull the strings don’t they? Mine have such needy faces you might as well be playing violins in the background.

    New Bloglovin’ follower!

    • Marcy

They do indeed. Charlie has these green marble eyes… it’s like looking into different shades of chipped marble. His stare can get kinda creepy actually. lol Leia has the baby blue eyes of a Ragdoll and man does she use them to her advantage.

I’m sorry, no one is ever going to convince me that we are the owners – it is my belief that we are cat’s pets. 🙂

Thanks for visiting and am now an old follower.
