Interior Design School? Check. Cute house to fix up? Check.

Sexy, grumpy neighbor who is going to get in the way of your plans? Check. Unfortunately.

Grace Travis has it all figured out. In between finishing school and working a million odd jobs, she’ll get her degree and her dream job. Most importantly, she’ll have a place to belong, something her harsh mother could never make. When an opportunity to fix up—and live in—a little house on the beach comes along, Grace is all in. Until her biggest roadblock moves in next door.

Noah Jansen knows how to make a deal. As a real estate developer, he knows when he’s found something special. Something he could even call home. Provided he can expand by taking over the house next door–the house with the combative and beautiful woman living in it.

With the rules for being neighborly going out the window, Grace and Noah are in an all-out feud. But sometimes, your nemesis can show you that home is always where the heart is.

Title:  How to Love Your Neighbor
Series:  Stand Alone
Author:  Sophie Sullivan
Genre:  Romantic Comedy

My Rating:  4 stars

How to Love Your Neighbor had me chuckling throughout Grace’s and Noah’s romantic adventure from a rocky start to their happily ever after ending.  They might have had very dissimilar experiences growing up but the one thing they do share from the start is their respective dysfunctional parents and their expectations of their children.

Grace has pulled herself out of her past with hard work, a strength that she doesn’t give herself enough credit for, and an inherited piece of property from her grandparents.  This house, although it needs a lot of work, is her haven and no fast-talking, sexy yet grumpy man is going to take it away from her. Not happening, Noah!

Noah has set out to separate himself from his father and his business ethics.  It takes a move away from home for Noah to find the solitude and the peace to begin over again on his terms.  Now if only the cute, stubborn lady next door would sell her rundown property to him so he could expand his property life would be almost perfect.

How to Love Your Neighbor is full of unique characters of all ages, each will fill a space in either Grace’s or Noah’s lives.  I went from wanting to give some people a good shaking or at the least a stern talking to, all the way to a swoon-worthy, laughter-filled romance between two very stubborn folks who were (in spite of it all) simply perfect for each other.  I had fun here, and if you love a charming, sort of enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy… then this is the perfect fit for you as well.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story.  It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
