Anthologies with connecting stories:  Thanks Fur Last Night – The Big Alpha in Town – In The Mood Fur Love

Title:  In The Mood Fur Love
Series:  Connecting Anthology
Author:  Eve Langlais, Milly Taiden, Kate Baxter
Genre:  Paranormal Romance – Shifters
Published:  October 2, 2018
Publisher:  St. Martin’s Press
My Rating:  4.5 stars

It’s always a special treat, for me, when Eve Langlais, Milly Taiden and Kate Baxter come together once more to deliver even more Shifter sexiness in connecting stories with the previous anthologies.  If you haven’t yet read Thanks Fur Last Night or The Big Alpha in Town… what are you waiting for?  Consider this your engraved invitation to go check out the earlier stories that these talented authors gave us that just might enhance this anthology for you… go on, you’ll be glad you did, promise.  Oh, I know, In The Mood Fur Love can certainly stand on its own with no doubt, but when there’s more wouldn’t you like to know that and discover even more amazing stories to love?  Yeah, me, too.

I completely enjoyed Bearing His Touch by Eve Langlais, and Fake Mated to the Wolf by Milly Taiden for their quirkiness, the sarcastic sense of humor and for the love that is so obvious for these couples.  They might take a bit to figure it all out, but the reading adventure up to that point is simply funny, sexy and oh so enjoyable.  The Witch, The Werewolf and The Waitress by Kate Baxter is a little darker, more intense but no less sexy or enjoyable.  A hard choice has to be made, keep the status quo or find a way to free your mate from a curse knowing all the while that she could decide to leave you behind… which would be the death of you.  Colin makes the right choice bringing us an amazingly intense and tender love story that will hold you in its grip to the end.

I had such a good time with In The Mood Fur Love, and I’d definitely recommend it for any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader.  Do you “have” to have read the earlier works – no, of course not, but I do believe you’ll get a better overall feel for these stories, plus they are amazing anthologies that should be in your collection, in my humble opinion.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

I can’t believe I didn’t know these ladies had a joint series! Thanks for the heads up, Marsha <3

Not a connected series… but there are related stories by each author in each of the anthologies. So their stories don’t continue one huge series in each anthology but across them all there is a definite connection. (Don’t want to get into trouble for giving the wrong idea, Keira. *grin*) Eve Langlais’ stories connect – Milly Taiden’s stories connect – Kate Baxter’s stories connect. So, I’m making that clarification super easy for anyone else who comes across our conversation lol

But, yeah. How cool is that. I always pick up these 3 author anthologies because I love the authors and to continue the stories. There is another set that includes two of these authors and one other as well. Look for GrowlWild Hunger as well. (those are the anthology’s titles. Happy reading my friend. I just helped you break the budget didn’t I? lol

Haha, the book budget is blown pretty much all of the time. Thanks for the clarification, and the recommendations! I’ll add these to the TBR mountain 😀

I live in a constant state of “blown book budget”. My son has learned that the absolute best Christmas gift is an Amazon gift card where I can buy books all year long. I’ve trained him well. 🙂
