NOT HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is a fun, a bit quirky, and completely enjoyable romance between a country girl heading into the big city and one city guy who is searching for something more – and may have just found it with a stranger under the most unusual circumstances. Add in some chickens, a competition, and lots of lively characters and you’ll find a story that will make you smile and flip pages quickly.
Ethan and Emma are a believable couple who may have some definite sizzle going on but also have some very real concerns as to just where this relationship is heading. Watching them discover each other, slowly (for this story) fall in love and be willing to take the risks that emotion requires was a lovely journey.
I loved the secondary characters and the almost instant bond that the contestants found among themselves. I think the most important thing here is that everything felt very real like it could easily happen, and that is the type of story that will draw me in and keep me engaged until the final page. I had fun with NOT HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS and would not hesitate to recommend it to readers who love a good Christmas Romance.
