Story Blurb:

Proper young ladies of the ton-especially ones who have very small dowries-are not encouraged to have an interest in intellectual pursuits. Indeed, the only thing they are encouraged to pursue is an eligible bachelor. So, the headstrong Sloane sisters must keep their passions a secret. Ah, but secret passions are wont to lead a lady into trouble . . .

SCANDALOUSLY YOURS

The eldest of the three Sloane sisters, Olivia is unafraid to question the boundaries of Society-even if it does frequently land her in trouble. Disdaining the glittery world of balls and courtship, Olivia prefers to spend her time writing fiery political essays under a pseudonym for London’s leading newspaper. But when her columns attract the attention of the oh-so-proper Earl of Wrexham, Olivia suddenly finds herself dancing on the razor’s edge of scandal. With the help of her sisters, she tries to stay one step ahead of trouble . . .

However, after a series of madcap misadventures, Wrexham, a former military hero who is fighting for social reform in Parliament, discovers Olivia’s secret. To her surprise, he proposes a temporary alliance to help win passage of his bill. Passion flares between them, but when a political enemy kidnaps the earl’s young son, they must make some dangerous decisions . . . and trust that love will conquer all.

Read on for my thoughts on Scandalously Yours.  No true spoilers, promise.

First of all I am addicted to series – and this novel is the first in The Hellions of High Street.  And I love opinionated, non-conventional, in-your-face types of heroines.  Is there any doubt that I’m going to love this one?  And all three of the sisters in this series, in general, fit that description – I am a happy series reader at this moment in time.

If you enjoy the typical sweet, charming. loving, well-behaved heroine of many Historical Romance novels – well, you’re in for a surprise.  While Olivia Sloane is charming (in her own fashion) she is as unconventional as a woman can possibly be for her time.

While you have the basics from the cover/story blurb, you don’t really have the total story.  And I’m not inclined to give you much more either.  Unfair, I know.  Some novels you just have to dive into yourself and experience every moment first-hand… Scandalously Yours is one such novel.

You will find two opinionated people who make a charming couple – eventually, once they realize they really are on the same side.  An adorable young man who probably steals scenes more than the beautiful ladies, if not the entire book.  A love that is not instant love, but comes upon these two in a slower process – but by no means less steamy than insta-love.  You will discover an eccentric (in a totally amazing way) family of sisters who while living in the Regency time period have been given a much broader education by their loving father so that they do not fit into the norm – which is great for us.

I have to give Scandalously Yours a 4 outta 5 on my rating scale.  If you love Historical or Regency Romances, or heck, just a good old fashioned opposites truly do attract love story — then this one is for you.

*I received an e-ARC of (this novel) from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

Scandalously Yours is available at Amazon in paperback and on the Kindle.
