Fighting to survive, Misty Elton takes one look at the man standing in front of her and knows she needs to make a decision – does she want to live? Discovering that her boyfriend is storing enough drugs to supply a small country, she looks for an escape route. He’s standing in the doorway – standing in the way of her freedom.

Misty has nothing left – no family, no friends, no one she can rely on. She is all alone and frightened. Managing to get past her ex, she flees, running away and landing in Seattle, she changes her appearance, her name, her life.

After a year, she begins to feel safe. Her ex won’t find her. She’s beginning to pick up the pieces of her once shattered existence and carve out a new world for herself.

That is, until a tall, well-dressed man shows up at her job and tells her they need to talk – and he knows her real name. Fleeing to get away from him, she rushes to the back room and grabs her Taser. When she hits him with it, she thinks she’s home free.

Read on for my thoughts on The Lost Tycoon.  No true spoilers, promise.

I do not believe I can adequately tell you what an emotional roller coaster this novel will take you on.  You will be gripped by this novel from the opening words, and it will not let you free until the final page.

I will perhaps give a spoiler here which is unusual for me, but to convince you that you really do want to pick up this novel – remember Damien and his friend Trinity from The Tycoon’s Vacation?  Remember Damien and Sierra from The Tycoon’s Secret?  Damien will play an important part in this novel and it will be both heartbreaking and joyful.  So if you loved Damien before – look to fall a bit more in love now.

Misty’s life has been a struggle.  Abandoned as a baby, she grew up in the foster system, until she escaped – right into the arms of a very bad cop.  Jesse is a true psychopath, a man who enjoys handing out pain and fear.  One night Misty escapes his wrath and disappears into the night praying she has left the fear behind, knowing that she will forever be looking over her shoulder.

She thought she was clear, she believed she had left the monster behind – until the night a man spoke to her using her real name.  She knew that nightmares live on no matter how far you run.

Bryson Winchester – Special Agent Bryson Winchester.  He hadn’t expected Misty to taser him, he certainly hadn’t expected to be attracted to her but he knew he was lost early on.  Now he had to keep her safe and maybe, if his suspicions were correct reunite her with a brother who had searched for Misty for years.  But before any happy reunions happen, before the happy ever after he hoped to find… he had to stop a madman who will not stop until Misty is dead.  That won’t happen, not if Bry has anything to do with the outcome of this case.

Misty and Bry’s story is full of action, suspense, tension, and hope.  This is a love story that just about anyone can enjoy.  I highly recommend this wonderful story to any reader of love stories – you will lose your heart to this couple.  Enjoy.

*Any review is just one person’s opinion. You might feel the same or totally different. The only way to know for certain is for you to read it. This was my opinion of this particular book.*
