Rich, titled, and charming…and in need of a wife by Wednesday. Blake turns to Sam Elliot, who isn’t the businessman he expected. Instead, Blake is faced with Samantha Elliot, beautiful and feisty with a voice men call 1-900 numbers to hear.
Owner of matchmaking firm Alliance and not on the marital menu…that is, until Blake offers her ten million dollars for a one-year contract. And there’s nothing indecent about this proposal. The money will really help with her family’s medical bills. All Samantha will need to do is keep her attraction to her new husband to herself and avoid his bed.
But Blake’s toe-curling kisses and sexy charm prove too difficult for Sam to resist. It was a marriage contract that planned for everything…except falling in love.
Read on for my thoughts on Wed by Wednesday. No true spoilers, promise.
I love finding hidden treasures in the form of novels published a few years ago that I hadn’t gotten the chance to read back then. And it’s certainly true that you will find a wide timeframe in the books that I review. Love is ageless, romance timeless and the best we can hope for is to enjoy this moment.
When Samantha decided to take on new client, Blake Harrison she certainly never saw his proposition coming. Oh, the idea of a marriage of convenience wasn’t the issue, San’s entire business plan was build around the need for businessmen and women to fulfill a need for marriage without the romantic entanglements. No, she simply hadn’t expected Blake to have researched her as well as she had looked into his life and business practices. When Blake offered her the position of his temporary wife of convenience at an astounding amount of money, it certainly made her pause. The contract was for one year, surely she could indulge herself without risking her heart for one short year. What made the offer even more enticing, aside from the handsome, sexy man himself was Blake’s honesty. That was something she had too little of in her life so far. The way Blake laid the contract out with complete honesty was a huge factor in her decision to go forward with this delicious, crazy idea. What could possibly go wrong?
There are times when I simply want a light, feel good, laid back kind of story to read. Wife by Wednesday fit that need perfectly and I will follow up on the rest of the novels in this series for that same reason. Sometimes I merely want to watch two people fall in love without huge drama, or twisted plots or unreasonable events keeping the lovers apart. There are reading times when I want to fall in love through the characters and that is exactly what this short, flirty, fun story gave me.
Wife by Wednesday is an enjoyable story of two people who simply fall in love in the middle of an arranged marriage. What they do with that is a delightful, engaging story that any reader of romance will most likely enjoy. Indulge yourself and take a chance on love.
Wife by Wednesday is available in a variety of formats and for the Kindle
