She’s never been one to stay in the same place for long…
Darby Watkins hasn’t been back to Willow Creek in years, and with good reason. But when an accident causes damage at the local equestrian center, what’s meant to be a quick visit turns into an indefinite stay while she works to pay back the owner. And as if that weren’t bad enough, she is also forced to work with Caleb Forester, the childhood best friend she hasn’t seen or spoken to since she abruptly left him and the small town behind.
Darby is determined to get out of Willow Creek and back on the road as soon as possible, but as she and Caleb rebuild their old friendship, feelings start to grow beyond the familiar and into something new and real and infinitely more terrifying that she’s sure will only lead to heartbreak.
Now Darby must choose between moving on and taking a chance on the one person who could finally be worth staying put for.

Risking It All takes us back to Willow Creek in another second chance to get this thing called love romance. I’ve enjoyed this entire series and was very happy to find that Darby and Caleb’s story keeps that winning streak going. While you could read this one on its own, I’d still recommend the entire series (if you can) for they are all very good, strong stories.
Darby and Caleb have a history, one of young love that never reached what it might have back then. Darby had left Willow Creek and Caleb without warning and his heart has never truly recovered. Darby had good reasons for what happened then and equally good reasons to keep on the move but she’s back home for a short time looking for help from her cousin – she just never expected to stay this long or to run into her first love again.
This was a story that touched my heart, kept me emotionally engaged until the final page. Life doesn’t always turn out as we expect, to survive we adjust but hardly ever really forget. I hurt for both Caleb and Darby for they’ve had a rough time apart from each other, even if they are reluctant to admit that fact. I enjoyed running into book friends once again, that is always a special treat for me. If you crave a love that never really died romance, a second chance at a lifetime together kind of story then Risking It All is perfect for you. I’d not hesitate to recommend this story or this series to any Romance loving reader.
