Could a beautiful old house and a handsome stranger hold the key to a life-changing secret?

Rosie Phillips could be forgiven for not being immediately won over by Tanner Bryant. After all, their first meeting involves him knocking a tray of prawn cocktail over her very expensive dress at a charity event on the grounds of Lucerne Lodge.

But little does Rosie know how pivotal that awkward first meeting will be, or how the Lodge will become the unexpected backdrop for a summer spent finding out who she really is, and who she could be …

Who could have possibly predicted that an overturned tray of prawn cocktails onto a very expensive dress would lead to a lifetime of cherished love?  Well, certainly not Rosie, when those prawns spilt all over her, and Tanner could not have possibly looked more stunned… or more embarrassed.  Welcome back to the Borteen Secrets series with Summer at Lucerne Lodge!

I always enjoy returning to this tiny town on the coast full of interesting residents, new folks in town, and always a romance filled with intriguing characters and a touch of mystery in the puzzles that strangers bring into any new relationship.  Summer at Lucerne Lodge gives us a new couple to enjoy watching their adventure of falling in love, a chance to catch up a bit with familiar couples from previous stories, and the sense that even with secrets nipping at the heels, Rosie and Tanner can overcome anything tossed in their way… as long as they believe in each other.

I’m not about to tell you Tanner and Rosie’s story, that you need to experience firsthand.  I can tell you that I had a blast back in the Borteen Secrets world once again for a story that touched emotions, gave me some smiles, figured out a puzzle, and watched two people who deserve happiness find their way into each other’s hearts.  Although you don’t “need” to have read the previous books to enjoy Summer at Lucerne Lodge, I would recommend them for each story is intriguing, and enjoyable in itself – put them together and you have a delightful world that you’ll want to return to again and again.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, ChocLit/Ruby Fiction. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
