Teaser Tuesday #2

teaser tuesdayOne of the fun parts of taking part in blog hops (aside from getting to visit new to me blogs) is finding great ways to interact with other book lovers.  This is one:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“The sun hurts, but it can’t hurt her anymore.”  The child paused, tracing small fingers over the curve of the tombstone.  “She said she couldn’t wait to see the sun rise again, but all the stars are suns and she’d be watching us from them always.”  ~from Eternal Neverland: Steps Before The Fall by Natasha Rogue

      Hi Kathy,

It is a very interesting read. Vampires, but with a slight difference. This is gonna be a review book once I’m done, because it is not your average vampire.

      Thanks for stopping by

      Hi Dagny,

Yes vampires. But not your normal, run of the mill vampires. Much younger.

Oh how I miss True Blood.

      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Marcy

It caught my attention in that vampires only see the stars, yet knowing they are actually thousands of suns above them might be a reassuring feeling. (or enough to send them into a vampire snit)

      Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

      Hi Laura,

I haven’t gotten too far into the book yet, but so far it’s an interesting read.

Thanks for the follow and for stopping by 🙂

      Hi Sherry,

The cover is so captivating to me. It makes we want to see what’s inside the covers. 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by.

      Hi Jaina,

There’s just something about a child around a tombstone that just sucks you in.. I liked it. 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by.

      Hi Zed,

It certainly is. I have a feeling that quote is going to stick in my head for a while. It’s an interesting book, haven’t finished it but it is… a unique slant.

      Thanks for stopping by.

      Hi Trish,

I am enjoying it. Wasn’t sure at first, but it is an intriguing read.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I simply love that cover! The teaser really strikes to the heart, a child and a tombstone… great choice of teaser. Thanks for visiting my TT

      Hi Cleo,

Yes it does, doesn’t it. It’s like the words just popped off the page at me.

      Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

      Hi Kate,

I really is turning out to be an interesting book.

      Thanks for stopping over.

      Hi Kim,

Not every book is right for every reader. With the millions of books around, that’s a good thing. 🙂

      Thanks for visiting.

  2. Ooh, this sounds good! Nothing like a good vampire novel. Thank you for stopping by. 🙂

      Hi Jess,

I’ve been hooked on vampires since I first read about Dracula – so long ago. 🙂

      Thanks for the visit.

      Hi Kerry,

      I can’t help it. I love a man with fangs. 😉

      Thanks for stopping by.

      Hi Alison,

There is nothing quite like a good (some unfortunately are not so good) vampire story. Look for the review sometime in February.

      Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

      Hi Maya,

You’re welcome, I enjoyed wandering around a bit while I was there.

It is an interesting book, I’m enjoying the journey it’s taking me on.

Thanks for the return visit. 🙂

  3. This is intriguing! Added to my ever-growing TBR list & following on bloglovin! Thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂

    • Marcy

      Hi Emma,

Oh the towering TBR pile, mine is heading toward the ceiling tiles and getting ready to topple. 🙂 It’s a very interesting book, I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the visit and for the follow.

  4. Nadene Reynolds@Totally Addicted to Reading

Love the cover. This sounds my kind of read. I am a big fan of vampire stories so I will be adding this to my list.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

    • Marcy

      Hi Nadene,

I grew up on B horror movies. So vampires, werewolves and monsters have been in my life for awhile. Huge Godzilla lover here. 🙂 I’m just glad that there are so many really good novels around today that can send shivers up my spine and make me look behind creaking doors.

      Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

    • Marcy

I’m definitely enjoying the book. 🙂

Thanks for the visit and the follow. I appreciate it.

    • Marcy

      Hi Laura,

I have to admit that the cover drew me in before I read the story blurb. Hope you enjoy it. 🙂

      Thanks for visiting.

  5. Aww that sounds like my type of book and I love the cover! Hope you’re enjoying it. I might have to look it up myself. Haha. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

    • Marcy

      Hi Alexis,

The cover captivated me when I first saw it. I think I picked it up more for the cover at first. 🙂 But now the story is what holds me.

      Thanks for visiting.

  6. Vampires. They never go out of fashion, right? There will never be a time when I won’t want to read a good vampire story. Happy reading! 🙂

    • Marcy

      Hi Ronnie,

I cannot imagine not reading vampire novels – for a basic legend, there are now so many “takes” on vampires that it’s fascinating to me to read how authors create them for us in their novels.

      Thanks for visiting 🙂

    • Marcy

      Hi Sonia,

Sometimes I have to cheat and pick another page cos there is nothing on some that I’d want to tease with that would actually invite someone to read the story.

      Shhh.. don’t tell. 😉

      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Marcy

      Hi Kimberly,

It’s the cover that drew me in first. Thanks, I think it worked well as a teaser.

      Thanks for the visit. 🙂

      Hi Nyze,

I finished it and reviewed it – and I wish I could have loved it, but I did like it. Some books start out like that – then end up in the oh well category..

      Thanks for stopping by.
