It’s New Year’s Eve in Dandelion Ponds and Daisy still hasn’t woken up. Yet that hasn’t stopped her from solving two murders, with the help of her newfound friends, her fiancé, and Charlie, the man who’s stolen her heart.

But when her fiancé Logan turns up dead and Charlie is the number one suspect, Daisy must rally her friends to prove his innocence. It doesn’t take long for them to realize a more sinister force is behind it all, and Daisy holds all the information they need to solve the case.

If only she could wake up and remember it.

Title:  That’s The Spirit
Series:  Dandelion Ponds Mystery #3
Author:  Beth Prentice
Genre:  Cozy Paranormal Mystery
Released:  September 30, 2022
My Rating:  4.5 stars

I have had such a good time with the Dandelion Ponds Mystery series.  It’s a slightly different slant from other Paranormal Cozy Mystery stories and I completely fell in love with the characters – and what they were going through.  That’s The Spirit will bring this trilogy full circle with an explanation of what happened to Daisy… but not before there is a lot going on in this story to solve!

I really cannot get into any details, even ones that are revealed in the cover description because they all flow together – and to say one thing wrong would possibly spoil the story for others.  So.

There are a lot of clues scattered about in That’s The Spirit, and a lot of shenanigans by Daisy’s crew of helpers as well.  I adore the secondary characters who make up Daisy’s paranormal crew, the ones that have been helping her in so many ways throughout this trilogy (series).  I had a lot of misread clues because I thought I knew what was happening… when I had no idea at all and the finale was a complete twist for me.  Daisy and Charlie are just a fun couple, I liked them individually and together, so I’m hoping they live happily ever after.  I really hope that we will see this entire crew again as they have such a unique crime/puzzle-solving system going on.

I had fun here, and I’ll definitely be watching for Beth Prentice’s next release.  That’s The Spirit is a good, solid Paranormal Cozy Mystery with characters that are dangerous, outrageous, and endearing depending upon their role.  If you love solving puzzles then you’ll want to check out the Dandelion Ponds Mystery series.  It’s so good.
