After promising his dying mother he’d protect his family and their rodeo rough stock legacy, Ian Neisson has devoted his life to keeping the Wright Ranch thriving. So when an ambitious FBI agent arrives in town implying Ian’s grandfather might be involved in a modern-day rustling ring, Ian, true to his word, steps up to help with her investigation in order to keep his family safe. His heart, however, is in danger from the green-eyed beauty with secrets of her own.
The last thing FBI Special Agent Jessie Martin wants is to go undercover working closely with a cowboy. She’s had her fill with cowboy charm and empty promises, and Ian Neisson, despite being the handsome poster boy for the proverbial Cowboy Way, spells trouble. But she’s a professional looking for advancement, and Ian is a way into the tight rodeo community. If only he didn’t threaten her resolve to forever leave her boots, roots and all things cowboy behind.

It’s time to catch up with the Rodeo Romeos series and Ian Neisson’s story – and is he ever in for a surprise romance and unexpected family drama in The Cowboy’s Vow.
When FBI agent Jessie Martin arrives at the Wright Ranch with accusations and suspicions that Ian’s grandfather is involved with a cattle rustling gang, well, first Ian doesn’t believe a word of it… and second, if he’s going to protect his family he’s going to have to work alongside a woman who isn’t without secrets of her own.
Jessie and Ian just worked well as a couple, even when they were at odds with each other over Jessie’s investigation (and her clinging to old memories of ranch life that weren’t the least bit pleasant) I still had the feeling throughout that this couple could last… eventually. I love this family, and we get to catch up a bit with familiar faces. The suspense is intense where it needs to be, there are moments full of laughter, and annoyance as well. Sometimes a person just has to take a chance and trust their heart, something that Jessie learns during this assignment.
I enjoyed being back in this world again. I know I’m always going to be treated to a strong story with engaging characters, and a puzzle to solve along the way. If you enjoy a really good romance with strong characters, a mystery to solve, and a couple to fall in love with then The Cowboy’s Vow is perfect for you.
