Title: The Hollyday Spirit
Series: Dandelion Ponds Mystery #2
Author: Beth Prentice
Genre: Cozy Paranormal Mystery
Released: August 29, 2022
My Rating: 4 stars
The second title in the Dandelion Ponds Mystery series gave me a puzzle to solve, more than a few chuckles, and the chance to know Daisy and Charlie’s unique relationship a little bit better, along with so many delightful secondary characters (that I’m having such fun with) in The Hollyday Spirit.
We knew that Daisy’s neighbor had met an untimely death at the end of the previous story, and now Mrs. Baker is screaming for help in bringing the fiend who ended her life to justice. But as Christmas quickly approaches there are a lot of Santas in this small town to be suspicious of, that’s for certain. And Charlie is still recovering from saving Daisy’s life, although he won’t stay down for long. While Daisy still is unable to connect her spirit and body back together again, all the while trying to understand her growing feelings for Charlie.
I had fun with The Hollyday Spirit, it’s entertaining, and funny, with a puzzle to figure out, and interesting characters that keep me on my toes. There are clues to underlying things that may become apparent in the next story that definitely has my curiosity rather high. If you love a good, solid Paranormal Cozy Mystery that is slightly outside of the norm, with characters you’ll feel comfortable with as they try to solve the current crime… then this series is just right for you. I always have a good time back in this world, and would definitely recommend it.
