Three Day Fiancee by Marissa Clarke

Helicopter pilot Taylor Blankenship’s time schedule is maxed out. Between his job, his one-hundred and fifty pound slobbering mess of a dog, and his matchmaking grandmother, he has no time for anyone or anything-especially a woman. If only there were a way to get Grams to back down.

The job of New York City dog walker suits Caitlin Ramos perfectly while she preps for her CPA exam—steady, scheduled, and requiring very little human interaction; a huge seller since she’s still on the mend from a toxic relationship. Men suck. Especially her bossy hot client with the Saint Bernard that thinks it’s a lap dog. No way will she go for his plan to pretend they’re engaged to get his grandmother off his case. Down, boy.

Offered a bargain she can’t refuse, Caitlin finds herself playing the part of fiancée to Taylor. Fortunately, it’s only for three days. All she has to do is fake a relationship with Mr. Bossy Pants in front of his entire family, survive a fierce game of truth or dare with an unscrupulous pair of octogenarians, endure a one-on-one round of Twister with Taylor, and not lose her heart to a guy who turns out to be a lot more than she’d bargained for.

I had such fun with Three Day Fiancee.  Really.  What’s not to love about a big goofy Saint Bernard who has no clue he’s not a toy poodle, hides his treasures in his floppy cheeks and steals every single scene he’s in.  Yeah, Beau is very hard to resist.  Add to the mix two stubborn, driven people who are actually just right for each other if they could get past that no relationship mindset.  Oh, and one very wily, stubborn grandmother who knows more than she lets on.  It’s the perfect storm for a really good romantic comedy romance.

You’ll get the basics from the story description blurb, and if that’s not enough to tempt you then you’ll fall in love with both Taylor and Caitlin easily.  Their chemistry is off the charts from their first meeting… which is hot and chuckle worthy in itself.  The fake boyfriend/fiancee/girlfriend is used a lot and it works when it’s done believably.  You cannot fake attraction no matter how hard you try, at least not for long, especially under the watchful and knowing eyes of one slick grandmother.  Taylor and Caitlin have their reasons for remaining single, they aren’t bad reasons but they soon fall apart when these two really get to know each other.  I understood Caitlin’s reluctance, and was so glad when she finally realized that not all guys are total jerks.  There are some good ones out there, and one just dropped in her lap.

If you’re in the mood for a good romance, a swoon-worthy couple, an adorable huge puppy for life, and some truly laugh out loud moments then I’d highly recommend Three Day Fiancee.  And if you haven’t already read it, I’d also suggest Dear Jane which starts off this series.
