“Waiting on” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating… cannot wait to get our hands on… having hissy fits at having to wait… you know, waiting for the book is exhausting work!
There are so many truly interesting novels coming out soon that it’s difficult to pick just one – but I have long been a Krewe of Hunters fan, and the next installment is out in June.
Where is Lara Mayhew?
Lara, a congressman’s media assistant, suddenly quits her job—and disappears on the way to her Washington, DC, apartment.
Novice FBI agent Meg Murray, a childhood friend of Lara’s, gets a message from her that same night, a message that says she’s disillusioned and “going home.” To Richmond, Virginia. Meg discovers that she never got there. And bodies fitting Lara’s description are showing up in nearby rivers… Could she be the victim of a serial killer?
Meg is assigned to work with special agent Matt Bosworth, a hard-nosed pro in the FBI’s unit of paranormal investigators—the Krewe of Hunters. They trace the route Meg and Lara took more than once in the past, visiting battlefields and graveyards from Harpers Ferry to Gettysburg. Places where the dead share their secrets with those who can hear… As Meg and Matt pursue the possibility of a serial killer, they find themselves in the middle of a political conspiracy. Is there a connection? And who—besides each other—can they trust?
I can always count on Heather Graham to give me a gripping mystery paranormal with a touch of romance mixed in. This is an amazing ongoing series and the wait is only about two months til this one releases. Looking forward to it so much.
Ooh this sounds cool! I wasn’t expecting that paranormal element to pop up, either. I’ll definitely have to add this to my tbr list, thanks for sharing 🙂

The Krewe of Hunters definitely has paranormal – the special teams sent in are people with some paranormal gifts themselves – and the situation usually have paranormal events or aspects to them.
